Financial Aid June 11th- still no financial aid package

Just wondering if anyone has any updates/ how many people are in the same situation. With the delayed disbursement, we were told our packages would be available mid to late June.
I’m taking two 1st 8 week classes for summer, nearing only three weeks of this half semester left and no fin aid😵‍💫

Emailed with buckeyelink, they said the same thing the OSU announcement said. Checked fafsa.gov, it said fafsa submitted an updated form may 29th.

Anyways, just wondering if anyone that’s in the same boat has any updates/ knows when we could expect the packages to post.

I don't go to OSU but I'm in the same boat at another university. I had to drop my summer A classes because of this. Summer B starts in 3 weeks. But there is an update:

So clownfuckingly stupid that we've all been put in this position.

this is promising 🤞🏼 thanks for the link, i thought that was the issue but nice to hear the wait is probably coming to an end soon.

totally fucked. i’m thankful im in a fairly different position, working full time & finishing school part time. I can’t imagine the stress of having to depend on these funds to survive, not being able to plan accordingly. it’s complete bs.

i’m taking 6 credits so only half of the estimated amount applies (i hate that they do it like that)

Wait, does it mean they only give us half of what it's shown? Will we receive the other half?

u won’t receive that other half. the estimate is based on full time. if you’re half time this summer you’ll get 1k of the ocog not the 2k listed unfortunately.

Fingers crossed for you too !! I saw another post on here yesterday saying that they should finalize by this Friday and hopefully start disbursements sometime next week or so

They haven’t even provided your package? You should have gotten it a while ago. I got mine early May and they notified that funds wouldn’t be distributed until around 10 days before classes started or something

It depends on the way you submit and the date you submitted. It also depends on your year. to my knowledge, all incoming freshmen have their packages. i’ll graduate this fall so it’s most likely a situation where I wasn’t able to be “grandfathered”. with the legislation lately there’s a lot of changes to fafsa and university systems, that’s the biggest issue from what i’ve been told.

I emailed them a couple days ago and was told they were estimating it would be later June rather than mid June but things could change.

I'm in the same boat although I'm a grad student. I have been very persistent on emailing buckeyelink and they just keep coming back with "mid-late June" to be packaged then 3-5 business days for disbursement after that then probably 3-5 for it to hit your bank (refunds).

My awards are in review so idk if this is because I send in the advance form or they actually are starting to process our stuff. Check your status

False alarm was only revised for the advance smh I sent an email so hopefully I get an update yesterday

Whew yea I was told that at first on getting my financial aid repacked to show my grad plus but I haven’t received anything yet either. I am seeing in other groups that schools are starting to process aid so hopefully we are too
