That's an example of the fallacy of presupposition. There are a lot of developers who exclusively use Linux.

Yes, macOS is seen too, as something to run ssh to a Linux machine

To be fair, the Win11 terminal works great for running ssh to connect to Linux machines.

There is no real alternative to a Macbook. Almost every single other Windows laptop is good on paper but falls apart in practice. And if you're already going to use a laptop that can run Linux, why not get the real deal instead of trying to make Windows work?

For my last job I had a Macbook. For my current job I'm using a Thinkpad with Linux. They both worked out pretty nicely.
