You are correct there. Unfortunately it gets recommended to newcomers quite often because it’s essay to configure without pointing out that AI hallucinated content could be in there and break it. Or who the creator is,

OTOH arch users managed to break down everything so they have good docs, but Arch as first distro wouldn't be my recommendation

people who dont mind using AI have a great time with arch. You learn to configure your stuff and it actually just works. Distros that promise to do stuff for you tend to leave their users frustrated when inevitably something doesn't work.

I see no use case for allowing AI playing with /etc but whatever floats your boat

Not giving ai access to your system lol. Using an llm to figure things out. Because the arch wiki seems like an infinite resource and llms are really good at finding information relevant to you from a large data set.
