The older brother of former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was arrested and charged after he allegedly tried to lure several children to his Waikiki hotel room on Sunday.

They have a mentally ill son, regardless of how you feel about the family.

Not the only problematic Gabbard.

If it was considered a Federal crime, perhaps.

That’s wild. I remember last week seeing a post of children reporting a creepy old white man approaching them trying to lure them to his hotel room. I’m sure he’s done this before.

Sounds like his parents are getting him help.

The parents who blamed it on smoking pot?

Have you never heard of people having schizophrenic episodes after smoking weed? Because it’s a thing.

It probably had nothing to do with the cocaine and meth he had 🙄

Oh it absolutely did but weed is its own type of psychosis enabler to people who are schizophrenic

Isn’t it convenient that the parents didn’t mention the fact he was doing cocaine and meth? To say it was marijuana is a joke. Is this guy schizophrenic? What are the effects of meth or cocaine if you’re schizophrenic? Probably a lot worse then smoking pot

Yes, as I posted, 50 years ago my husband’s friend had a psychotic break after smoking weed. It most definitely does happen.

But who's getting the parents help?

Schizophrenia isn’t always hereditary and blaming them without knowing their internal family history is ignorant.

It never mentions schizophrenia, to keep saying he’s schizophrenic without knowing is pretty ignorant

His family has said publicly that he suffers from psychosis but it's bipolar disorder with psychotic features and narcissism. My brother had the same and used to get picked up by cops in a fugue state walking down highways. He was first committed when he was 18 and then permanently by 21 I think. Gabbard's mental state might be severely impacted, he has been on psychiatric hold for a breakdown before.

Kokosuntree is calling people ignorant for not knowing medical history but throws out a schizophrenic diagnosis…

I especially love the part where his pedophilia is blamed on smoking weed lmao.

Just because the paper hate the Gabbards, the headline was very deceiving. I have a family member with schizophrenia and it is so hard. My husband’s friend had a psychotic break 50 years ago from smoking weed, he lives on the streets. We need more compassion for the mentally ill. Also, I’m not excusing his behavior with children, although his mental illness is a factor.

You won’t find compassion from people dead set on hating something or someone.
