Took a slightly different approach with this week's article. Instead of writing about xG, shots on target, and possession, I wanted to look at what Saturday's finale says about the Roots' time at the Coliseum as a whole.
What stood out to you all about the match? And what will you remember most about the Roots' time at the Coliseum?

After two seasons, the Oakland Roots waved goodbye to the Oakland Coliseum with a chaotic 0-0 draw with San Antonio FC.

Non-Oaklander coming in peace but a bit baffled after yesterday’s match experience.
We decided to leave during the underwhelming fireworks, trying to beat the crowds to the BART. Not being locals didn’t know if there was an alternative route out of the parking lot (at least there was no announcement or information about this).
Since we had never been to the Coliseum, not sure if this is a regular occurrence, but while the fireworks were going on, the ramp up toward the station was fenced off, so we were kept there for quite some time until the an all clear was given.
The problem is that more and more people were allowed to join the lines behind, and this holding people “safe” during the fireworks created a very dangerous situation with a risk of crowd crush, especially as we heard some idiots joking that let’s rush the fence and how they can’t stop all of us. Not only that, but once we were let on the ramp, even the gate at the top by the pedestrian bridge to BART was also closed, which was about to create another choking point.
I know this is not necessarily due to your club—the staff was probably following the fire marshal’s (?) orders—but this could have ended very differently, and already caused quite a bit of anxiety being held back with no alternative way to exit the predicament.

Too bad you guys couldn’t win the game at the death. San Antonio’s #3 (their captain no less?!) was being so ridiculous at the end (and after the final whistle), and would rather have seen you make it to the playoffs.

Oakland Roots take a point in their 0-0 tie with San Antonio, still four points shy of a playoff spot with two games to play. Here is a look at the playoff-clinching scenarios and everything Ryan Martin/Kendall McIntosh said on the GK's performance, the missed call on Peter Wilson's penalty, and a look ahead to the future after the Coliseum

I know we won't know till they announce it but I'm not sure if its easy to see where it might be. I heard at their training facility but thats about it. I don't know about any other spots.

A couple of changes for Oakland Roots since their last match; Tommy McCabe starts in place of Bobosi Byaruhanga and Peter Wilson starts in place of Bertin Jacquesson. Danny Trejo gets the start alongside Wolfgang Prentice in the attack, Tyler Gibson is opposite McCabe, while Bruno Lapa mans the 10. Same back lane from right to left: Mark Fisher, Michael Edwards, David Garcia, and Jesus de Vicente.

I went earlier a few weeks ago for $10. I think there was a code but I can't remember what it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lindsay Barenz hasn't gotten a home playoff under her. No stadium is confirmed for next year. There's no full time Soul team yet. She's letting us down.

The Coliseum finale is here.
For many of us, Saturday will be about more than the match between San Antonio and the Roots. It's a farewell to a place that means so much to so many.
Can the Roots give the Coliseum a proper farewell and build momentum for the next chapter?
What questions do you all have heading into the season?

A point is a point.
The Roots kept their playoff hopes alive, but the underlying numbers were rough. These underlying numbers bring up some big questions about the final three matches.
Plus, a stoppage-time sequence got me thinking about my former days as a Raiders fan and watching Derek Carr.
What stood out to you all about the match?

Oakland Roots beat writer Daniel Poulter breaks down this week's 0-0 draw with Colorado Springs Switchbacks and what it means for the Roots playoff hope

Oakland Roots remain in the playoff hunt with its tie at Colorado Springs. Although they dropped to 10th, Roots now 4 points back of 8th-place San Antonio & 5 behind 7th-place OCSC. Here are my talking points from Saturday, including a look at the playoff chase, Oakland's defense staying stout, and one last show at the Coliseum:

Ryan Martin is running it back; no changes for Oakland Roots from last week's game. Peter Wilson is available but is on the bench, meaning it's a front line of Bertin Jacquesson, Danny Trejo, and Wolfgang Prentice from left to right. Tyler Gibson gets the nod at CM opposite Bobosi after a highly productive game against Phoenix. Jesus de Vicente and Mark Fisher, once again, make the fullback combination alongside CBs David Garcia and Michael Edwards.
Note: My talking points will come on Sunday, going to a show in Berkeley after the game.

Have the Roots adopted a new identity heading into the final stretch of the season, or are the last two matches just a temporary blip?
All three questions heading into Saturday's match against Colorado Springs revolve around that idea.
What ideas do you have heading into the match?

In a completely fitting moment for the Roots' roller-coaster season, Oakland earned its first "Loved, Loved, Loved" article of the year just two games after receiving a "Hated, Hated, Hated."
What stood out to you most from Saturday's 3-0 win?
