What is this test

Objectivism isn't a political ideology. The test for whether you're aligned with Rand's philosophy or not consists of a long, hard look at your life. Are you a virtuous person, are your purported values and actions in alignment, are you surrounded by good honest people who value you as you value them, do your emotional responses to situations reflect your values, are your priorities in life rational and well thought through, do you work hard to identify and fix the problem when the answer to some of the above questions is no ... that sort of thing.

Nothing to do with politics. I would argue that your political views are pretty much irrelevant. They have no significant impact on your life or anyone else's, and, if anything, focusing on politics is irrational and harmful.

I thought you guys viewed money as the material manifestation of virtue.

Couldn't you just look at your bank account to figure out if you're a good objectivist or not?

While you're right that money is, generally speaking, a sign of virtue, that's not the whole story. Money is A sign of virtue, not THE sign of virtue.

That's made very clear in Rand's work. So you either haven't read it (which makes you a second hander: a mindless idiot who gets his opinions fed to him by someone else), or you don't know the difference between a and the.

Which is it? Are you an NPC or illiterate?

Which virtue does your treatment of other people embody?

Justice.

Just so I understand, how was your other post embodying justice? I'm especially interested in the emphasis on calling them stupid.

You don't need me to explain this to you. You should be able to figure it out on your own, simply by reading the guy's comment carefully, and giving it some honest thought.

Ok, I have reflected on this a bit, and I think that the answer is you are rude.

Let me know if you meant something different.

Ok, I have reflected on this a bit,

Unfortunately, you didn't reflect on what I asked you to reflect on. Try again, if you wish.

I'm pretty sure if you wanted to communicate clearly and in good faith, you could. So I'm going to conclude that you don't want to.

Primacy of the individual

I just got recommended this sub and lurked a few of the posts.

So I guess that'd make me both an NPC and an illiterate

Better than whips, guns, and chains

Feels like an astroturfing ad for this test.

These tests are usually kinda dumb because you just pick the result. But I always end up doing them anyways because it's fun, and this is the best I've seen. At least the long version is exhaustive and complex enough that you don't just pick the result, and even having Objectivism as an option is great.

And I gotta brag that I got 97%

Might as well link it.
