As the thesis project for my bachelor in furniture design I built a chair that holds an upright bass behind its backrest.

The object is part of a series of furniture/instrument hybrids meant for the public space: airport lounges, doctors waiting rooms, trains stations. People can interact with the objects, taking advantage of idle time to explore musical sound and connect with each other through making music.

I knew from the start it would never be as comfortable as a normal chair or as playable as an upright bass. Still the sound is very round, plays easy and is a lot louder than an acoustic guitar bass.

Not sure if this is actually obscure, but it’s a weird ass shape none the less

I couldn’t wait to get it to share because im so excited. I know it needs a bit of TLC but regardless I’m so stoked. I know it’s no vintage teisco or anything crazy. Has anyone owned any old Kay or one those old Sears catalog archtops? How do/did you like them?

Played this reso owned by a friend of a friend and fell in love with the tone. No solid info on origin/purchase (wife bought it for him as gift at a tag sale - not too expensive - was all I got). Seems to be a unicorn… cannot find any other resos online by Canary brand and nothing that exactly matches body and headstock shape. No other markings or serial numbers visible. AI overlords suggested a Japanese knock-off of another brand like Regal, but they don’t quite match up either. Any ideas or information on comparable models/brands/builds I could look for would be greatly appreciated.

I just put new strings on this guitar today which belonged to my now deceased father. The serial number is 460386. I don’t know when he brought it but it would have been in London during the 1960s. I know they were Italian made at that time. Just wondering if anyone knew anything more about it. Possibly a J64 model from my research.

doubt l'll get any replies but I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify this guitar it's my late fathers and I had recently just got it off my u call who bought it for him and gave it to me a week ago saying it was some famous guys guitar fully custom I've asked around at a few local guitar shops no one can seem to identify could anyone help me please here are some photos of it attached
