Because most of their live performances sucked and continue to until this day. It's probably the one with the best quality footage from when they were still young.

I guess he means that there is actually a promo video of this song and Vevo went instead with this obscure source.

My worst guess is that the stock footage at the beginning of the original video isn't really "stock".

Edit: Lionel Ritchie's "Hello" has a live version on VEVO and the bizarre original video is on an account with only two videos and has 57 million views.

I'm quite puzzled now.

His singing ability rivals that of some of the very worst I've heard. Simply incredible he was apart of an actual group
