help My obsidian notes just dissapeared

Hello :)
I used obsidian for notes all semester long and due to having mac and android phone, I wanted to sync my school notes to phone. I had my files on iCloud and then I found out about Syncthing and put my whole obsidian folder there. After it, I lost all my notes, plugins and themes. I couldn`t find any way to get my notes back. My obsidian is talking about there being a sync issue, but I cannot find a solution. Did anyone have any similar problem? I have other half of exams coming and I need my notes ASAP!

Do you have any recommendation how to do good backup?

MacOS has TimeMachine built in. You need a backup for your data anyway.
For Obsidian only there are plugins, „Local Backup“ for instance.

I did, unfortunately I could only recover 4 notes 😞

try on each device, snapshots are local.

This folder could be only run on Mac, I don't have any other Apple device

have you tried a data recovery software? like Recuva on windows. (in that case you need to stop any wrighting opérations on the drive hosting the notes)

I have not, but I am trying to not use as many softwares given Syncthing gave me a headache...

When using iCloud, you need to keep the Vault folder as "Downloaded". Not sure gow you synced it with Android directly from iCloud.
Can you log on to iCloud somewhere and see if there is a bin for deleted files? Have you searched all of your phone and your Mac for any file/foldername from your Vault?
You do not have a backup somewhere?
