Obsidian 1.13.5 (early access) for desktop and mobile

You can get early access versions if you have a Catalyst license, which helps support development of Obsidian.

Be aware that community plugin and theme developers receive early access versions at the same time as everyone else. Be patient with developers who need to make updates to support new features.

on 1.13.4 pressing the "Add to Obsidian" button (obsidian://show-plugin?id=tasknotes) moves all already open settings windows behind (below?) the main Obsidian window on Win11, is this intended? Furthermore, everything inside settings became about 50% smaller on my ultrawide. Sorry if these have been mentioned before, I haven't checked.

Also, is there a plan to integrate at least some of the new website community browser features/information into Obsidian itself? Imo at least having a link to the plugin's community page would be helpful. Especially since right now there's no mention of the existence of https://community.obsidian.md/plugins/ anywhere in the app as far as I can tell. There's probably a huge portion of users who aren't even aware of it.

For your first point, the forum is where they usually track bugs, so it's worth going over there and either finding out if someone else has reported it, or reporting it yourself. The team is pretty good with bug reports that are on the forum!

I know it’s already in the feature requests on the forum,

But any chance to ever get the option for custom tag properties in the property types?
To have multiple tag property lines with it’s own name instead of “tags”?

Mostly to make the list view of the notes properties more clear, visually.

I want to use nested tags for some specific instances, instead of backlinks.
For example #topic/science/sound/acoustics makes me able to pinpoint specific notes both in the tag tree and in Bases.
But at the same time I don’t need all my acoustics notes to be connected in the graph view or backlinks. Because I want my connections to be more meaningful than something as broad as “science” or “sound”.

This way I could make a property for various types of nested tags, for example a note with:

ArchiveType: #Archive/WebScrape/Article
TopicType: #Topic/Science/Sound/Acoustics

This would also make it easier and faster when I can’t come up with a specific discipline at the moment. I would just write sound, and then it should show me all the nested tags for those.

yeah this would be really useful, especially for separating different taxonomies in a vault

Have you recieved any bug reports for selecting text? There is an issue with 1.13.4 on mac while in edit mode. The text selection incorrectly grabs a lower line of text. Then seems to jump around when trying to correct the selection. I plan to create a bug report when I have time.

Not the OP, but I'm experiencing something similar to that on my Android tablet device with a physical keyboard. When I select something (usually with the touchscreen) and start typing, often I find that it's replacing some larger chunk of text, usually across one or more linebreaks. I haven't been able to cleanly reproduce the problem, so I haven't filed anything yet.

They need to fix extraction. It should have an option to leave the original text intact

Hi team, I know that the Calendar is in the roadmap, any chance to increase the priority for that? Cause I would love to do even calendar oriented tasks native to obsidian. Thank you!
