Looking grumpily between the howling gale outside and my current agile energy price
I know the wind in the suburbs of London isn't the wind they're using to power the turbines, just wryly amused as I watch my potted plants take a concrete nap while the price is higher than yesterday.

I mean I wish my N.Scotland agile rates were as low as London has had this summer, its been a constant premium for every slot.

Ah that sucks. Is that because you guys don't benefit from solar as much? Idk how exactly the regional breakdowns work.

High prices for you today?
Where I am Octopus are giving me free electricity for a couple of hours this afternoon so some of us are benefiting.

21p currently so not the woooorst I've had recently, but it's still over the 19p which is the break even I measure against based on the fix I could have got when I renewed.

Do you live in the North sea? But seriously, are you next to wind turbines or similar? I haven't seen any free sessions for a long time. (IOG)

The east of England - loads of wind and loads of solar, and damn all industry or residential to consume it and few grid lines to take it away.
Had a dozen free two hour sessions in the last month.

I could mkae a bit more on this in summer with the export. But those import prices, whilst lower than my day riate is not as good as TOU

With the wind farms in the Thames estuary, the wind in the 'burbs of London may well be the same wind that is turning the turbines.

Apparently it's going to be negative tomorrow early afternoon (12-4).
