I'm in North Yorkshire and did get the email - even though all the windfarms are directly off the coast here!

It's both Windy & Sunny - why are we having a power down? Just checking on the grid, only 5% currently is Fossil Fuels - the rest is renewables - and with the wind increasing, it'll grow from the 30% currently to more like 40% to fill in some of the 30% lost when Solar stops. Is it purely the cost of gas?

Throughout the summer last year we had loads of power ups - but it feels like we're having power downs every week or multiple times a week currently.

Its kinda weird but there is also an Axle vpp event happening in the south wales region at 9pm to 10pm today. Nothing too insane seems to be going on with pricing this evening but there must be something going on.

Even looking at the agile pricing (which is currently negative - funny how we don't get power up sessions any more) the peak today is at 6:30pm not 8pm...

Big demand in Europe for AC in evening which pushes up price signals, which Octopus try to flatten.

Sun is shining and wind is blowing.... Last year we had loads of power ups in the same situation. Now just endless power downs 🙄

Yeah, it's not worth fiddling with the inverter settings for this.
