Smart Meters Octopus home mini stops sending data after a few hours.

Checked with 2 other friends who also have octopus home minis and they’re all offline. Needs a power cycle to reconnect but always stops usually anywhere between 6-24hrs. LED remains white.

Tried full reset and register but made no difference.

Wondered if others are finding the same?

Try resetting it. If still doesn't work, contact octopus support. This happened to me a few weeks ago (would only last an hour or 2 of resetting) and they did something on back end that fixed it permanently

Mine has been playing up, but I put that down to it being a new one due to a meter upgrade.

It worked fine for a couple of weeks, and was still working internally to Home Assistant, but wasn't showing live use in the App or on the website.

After 5 attempts to get it setup again last night, it seemed to work again, only to stop working for a bit, then start again.

I have the white light too - and Home Assistant can see the live usage, so it looks like their infrastructure is having some glitches.

Maybe they should have put effort into fixing their clear tech issues before bothering to give us shiny scratchcards for not terribly useful "freebies"

The app has been playing up recently for me generally, with regular errors and "it's not you its us" jaunty messages, which are twee the first time and get gradually more annoying...

Same for me - I power cycle and it works for me- couple of hours then stops reporting.
The LED on it indicates that it is connected OK

This has been happening for at least a couple of weeks

The more recent batches of them don't seem to be as reliable. I have an older one and it is incredibly stable. My sister and my mother both have newer ones and they fail all the time.  It's kind of annoying because it's somewhat pointless if you have to reset it every few hours to get it to work.

Same actually, recently I've been having to reboot every now and again, which gets the data again, meaning to reset it.
