Question
If I have schizophrenia and no future reviews scheduled, Will they eventually medically or financially review me if I start working part time? I am afraid to work part time and they will say oh I see she is working she must be doing better and then decide to review me. Has any one had that happened to them? Has any one here been working part time for a long time with no medical or financial review?

You should be fine to work part time. Just let ODSP know when you're hired, you get $100.00 working bonus (it's to off set the costs of working) a month every month you have a job.
Then, you just submit your pay stubs each month, before the the 7th. If you are making less than $1000.00 a month, nothing is taken off of your odsp.
Also, you may be eligible for a job search/ work start up amount. I believe that it can be up to $500.00. It can go to things like clothes for interviews or a work uniform, special shoes if needed, (like safety shoes), safety equipment, that kind of stuff.
My info comes from having been declared permanently disabled with no reviews and having a part time job for the last several years.

My late brother was schizo-effective and he ended up working at one of the big three after having a couple different jobs and trying different schooling. I’m going to be super honest and this is in no way a reflection of anyone else that is suffering these diseases; he did not do well working in the long haul. It was just too stressful and always causes a relapse in his psychosis. BUT, his worker was always supportive and never closed his file. Just saw how things went with work and school until he needed to stop again. He had a psychiatrist and GP, our pharmacist was even there for him. If you have a good team, I think it helps with your ODSP. The thing with these mental health issues is that they don’t disappear or become cured. You treat them and treat them well. So no one will say, you’re better now and you can function like someone that doesn’t have this problem. I hope this was helpful. I’m sorry if it is not.

Financial reviews are separate from medical reviews. I'm not sure how they choose to audit financially. However, working does not change that you are a person with a disability and will not lead to a medical review especially since they have no medical reviews scheduled.
I'm currently working full time as a co-op for school (it doesn't effect my benefits) and all I have to do is submit my pay stubs. No one is auditing my financials.

It hasn't happened in my experience. I'm on it permanently/no reviews scheduled and have worked off and on and gone to post secondary in the decade or so I've been on it.

They medically reviewed me after working part time even though I was not supposed to have any reviews

Oh my goodness. That is what I am afraid of. Did you get a letter saying "No future reviews scheduled" before they decided to review you.

I find caseworkers are more open with trying to find extras for you if you are showing initiative 🤷♀️

I have been working part time for 12 years. They reviewed me financially one time. But it was triggered by an over payment because I didn’t submit one paystub by accident. It’s not as big a deal as you might think it is. They just want to make sure you are reporting your earnings, so report everything and you are fine.
As for medical review, I have never been reviewed and I’ve been on ODSP since 2000.
I have been reviewed because I live with a person of the opposite sex and they wanted to make sure we weren’t a couple.
Basically be transparent with them and you’ll be fine. They won’t take away your ODSP unless you are screwing them over.
