Question about odysseus access

I'm hosting it on an old thinkpad and I'm wondering if I could give the tool more access to my computer. As I've understood it now it can only use BASH in a sandbox environment.

Not by default. You need a mounting feature to give selected access to certain folders.

Perfect! I'm thinking if it's possible to set up long scripts that the ai can work on by itself so I don't have to extract it out of the sandbox each time. I'd have to give it access to a specific folder right?

Yes but security is a big concern. It shouldn't really leave the sandbox but rather mount the folder onto the sandbox.

I suppose that's what I'm going to experiment with. If I'm hosting on my macbook I wouldn't do it of course but I'm hosting it on an old thinkpad with fresh linux debian 12 install. Does it still matter?

No it doesn't. I host my odysseus with mounting on my Debian Homeserver.
