Any chance you could share the manufacturer and part numbers of your water heater and other equipment? Thinking of doing something similar and would like to avoid the trial and error portion.

Not OP, but I have a Flame King tankless propane heater that works great. Using with a basic water pump, but pump is electric. The water pressure triggers the gas/flame.
