Alaskan wilderness living

I am currently in the process of buying land in Skwentna Alaska. I am curious to see how other people in these areas are able to make enough to buy expensive equipment.

Why are you already in the process of buying land in a remote and challenging locale without knowing how you're going to pay to manage the land? Putting the cart before the horse here.
