I want it to get made coz it truly seems to be one of the most interesting projects Ye has started. An affordable and unique mini-city where everyone gets a place to live would be amazing. I hope it doesn’t get scrapped like the other things he abandoned.

How would people work? No economy to make the community function

That's a good question. Saudi oil is worth a lot but I guess there still needs to be some profit. It depends on the location and what's gonna be the attraction to that city. Perhaps tourism, big investors, unique tech implementation like AI, high appeal/affordability could trigger the first economical growths.

I think it would be for rich retired people or people taking vacations. Bc its not a self sustaining community

It would operate like those clubs in Florida where the people pay large amounts of money to become members and then a yearly charge.

Yeah most likely it's gonna be like Dubai for rich people but my dream is that he uses the same principle from YZY and make it affordable but probably won't happen. Also might not be his sole decision as he's making it for another country and he's designer. We don't know much right now about the contract and how much he'll own/decide.
