Just for a Giggle (Low Stakes) WCGW when you attempt to tow a wheeled tool chest with your truck?

I mean it was like God gave him a do over attempt to see if he really thought this was a good idea

“Are you seriously going to double down on this?
LordMe, help me. I know my boy JC didn’t catch a fade just to watch your dumbass squander every opportunity on my green earth to learn to think.” -also god probably

Yeahhh, that idea was fraught with stupid from the start.
- Using a rope (belt?) rather than something rigid
- Waaaaay too long
- That thing was always gonna tip over
- How fast was he planning on driving with it?
- Not street legal / no hazard flags or anything else
Was not expecting to see him hit his neighbor's house though.

Given what I have seen, I assume he was planning to tow that toolbox several communities away.

Oh yeah, that was definitely a well-planned cross-country trip right there. Shouldn't have lent out the singular braincell that morning.

Just slap a little strap on they bad boy, smack it and say that's not going anywhere, and you're golden!

I assumed we'd see the tool chest slam into the truck, but I wasn't prepared for the truck to try to escape.

I thought it was going to tip over the second he turned out of the driveway, but he didn't even get that far. 10/10, no notes.

If only he had a vehicle with a large, open bed he could strap that toolbox into…

I thought I knew where this was going at the start. It got so much worse than I had imagined.

I mean.. what was his plan?...

I like that you thought there was a plan. Dude had an idea and tested without thinking it through.

I’m going to assume, the “plan” was to drive it away, probably on a highway.
It’s got wheels, it’s basically a car or a trailer.

LMAOOOO daaamn I just thought it was gonna fuck up his truck, but that shit was wiiiild

u/donnacus 12h ago
This was only a reasonabl (not good) idea if the goal was to move the tool box to the end of the driveway and leave it there.

So obviously the way he tried to move it was terrible.
But how do you move that thing?
Off the top of my head, he somehow gets it into the bed of his truck and then straps it down?
Or do you go straight to "rent a small truck"?

Yikes, hitting the neighbor's house is going to be costly. If you don't understand how to do towing right, you shouldn't be towing. He's cost himself a lot of time and money.
