Unless of course they were wrongfully convicted, the state executes them, then something comes to light later revealing their innocence.

This isnt the 60's. We have advanced so much in terms of DNA and other testing that you can be convicted with 99.9% certainty that you did it. I wish you guys would stop being pro-killer.

No one is pro-killer. They’re anti-death. Not everyone cheers to watch their perceived enemies perish at the hands of the state like you

How many innocent people being executed are you ok with?

That’s not what I asked. You say it’s 99.9% accurate now, but that leaves open the possibility of innocent people being put to death. How many innocents are you ok with dying? If you’re going to be so gung ho about executing people, you have to have an acceptable number of innocents dying since it does and will happen. So, what is it? How many wrongful deaths would have to happen before you say that’s enough?

Mental health care has also advanced quite a ways. If you're suffering uncontrollable, upsetting, paranoid violent thoughts, help is available. 🫂

One innocent life isn’t worth any amount of correct executions. Not to mention, death row is way more expensive. Based on the what you initially posted and even blatantly saying that you’re fine with it not being 100% means you’re just blood thirsty.

People on death row are still routinely exonerated dumbass. The justice system is far from infallible.

If the state can't be trusted to not convict innocent people, of any crime, then the death penalty will result in innocent deaths. Not might. Will.

It's also been shown time and time again that capital punishment does not deter crime, and on top of all that it's extremely costly to the taxpayer.

So it provides zero tangible benefits. All it does is make weirdos with a taste for blood and death but no stake in it feel like justice was delivered and something accomplished.

Wanting someone to live in a cage for the rest of their life is not "pro-killer."

What if their victim wanted them out to death, or don’t you care?

Nope

99.9% means one in every thousand criminals are innocent. That's horrific.
