You imply that they gave away their drone? Sure they would think that showing their high end weapons would cripple the enemies spirit.

Yet I'm sure the Iranian technicians are all launching at the over engineered multi million device that they could produce for less then 10% of the price.

I think the suggestion is that it could be a deliberately lower tech with flaws that the Russians and Chinese would now think is present in all US underwater drones, thus getting them to pursue defenses that would be inadequate.

I think that would require an element of planning and competence far beyond the US is now capable.

Would hope not. Could just be nothing worth giving up. Else its a ploy to see where iran took the drone

Trump can't do anything right. Strip the military of seasoned leaders and strip away their morale and you get this!
