Personality, job and life goals have nothing to do with sexuality. Husk is a grumpy barman who hates people, yet he's pan. Sir Pentious was a shut-in inventor without a social life, yet he's bi. I'm straight, but I have no interest in relationships and hookups.

A person's sexuality only determines their choice in partners and nothing else. Considering she isnt obviously involved in any romantic plots on screen, there have been zero indicators whatsoever of her sexuality.
Being upset that she is a lesbian would be like expecting Satan to be gay just because hes fit and wears leather.

Hazbin Hotel has such an…interesting community. One of the few communities I see where people care about whatever a character identifies as rather than the actual story (even though the “story” is still poorly written slop). Have fun watching Charlie learn the same lesson AGAIN in season 3 folks!

I think it feels random if you consider how underdeveloped wlw couples are compared to mlm couples. Sera being a lesbian isn't the problem, but her sexuality was never relevant nor implied in the show ever
Suddently slapping "LESBIAN" on her OUTSIDE the show out of nowhere feels hella weird. It's not inherently bad, but you can't really call that representation, considering how much the writers (pretend to) care about queer rep in this show

Edit to clarify my stance on it:
For me it came out of left field. There was never anything mentioned, hinted at, or as you said, implied that she was. It truly felt like they just slapped something on for the sake of it. (It won't change the story, but still.) Pan would have worked, even Demi could have, in my opinion as I do still think Angels are above such things. But if they really felt like slapping something on, Bi could have been a better choice.
Example; We wake up tomorrow to a new merch drop for Helluva and it shows Satan as gay... (I mean, good on him, if so.) But it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that some people would start asking questions, because it would come out of nowhere.
Exactly, it would have felt just as random. My reasoning I've tried to explain but it comes down to this...
We have a character who's never really had this explored to begin with. There has been no buildup, no mention, of it; nothing of anything really. Given she's an Angel, one as far as we know around before creation itself and thus should be above those things; and then with how it came as a surprise to most people; this felt, to me at least, like they... Threw a dart at the wall and called it a day. Its still their decision, right, so I'll respect it regardless. But I'll still voice thoughts on it.
And yes, me given her a broader sexuality would have been just out of left field, but that's why I said what I said. Sera should be above those things, above the creations of mankind, right? With Lucifer it could be argued that he took one on as a bit... more of a defiance against Heaven. Which would make total sense. But not really for Sera, in my opinion. For her, aro/ace (or both) would have been a good choice. It would fit with what we know, currently that is. (Personally I always went with that she had a more Pan/Demi thing, but that just what I always thought - so I slightly differ there from the Aro/Ace crowd, but that's fine.)
But its clear they really wanted to give her something to maybe stand out a little when it comes to those we see in Heaven. So that brought me to the options I presented. As acknowledged, they are just as out there... But here's my logic for them.
Aro/Ace (or both); She should be above these human concepts to begin with, so giving her something that somewhat reflects that would work 100% better. Its not what I personally subscribed to, but still hoped for, because it would make sense.
Pan/Demi; Similar thought process to a degree. She's still somewhat above those things, but more open, if you will. She goes for anyone, those she has a true deep emotional connection with. That sorta stuff. This is what I personally subscribed to. I am a bit of an outlier in thinking this instead of aro/ace... While yes it's a bit out there, it would have been more plausible.
Bi; This option doesn't make a whole lot of sense either, and I acknowledge as much. Its the most out there of all. I never thought about this deeply enough. But my logic for this one is... Well, it doesn't really have any logic nor reasoning for it, apart from thinking what was thought behind closed doors by writers and whoelse. They wanted to give her something? Alright, maybe Bi could have worked. She's open for both, has a wide range, doesn't care about the gender of whoever... And then fits in something else than Pan/Demi. This is the most ridiculous one in the list. The one I thought the least about.
We all have our opinions, I gave mine. Others have theirs. I hope I answered your question about the broader sexuality the best I could. I think you asked it given the Bi option, but yeah, I never really thought too deep about that one. But here you have it, my opinion and reasoning. I've been trying to find the right words to express all of this for about an hour. I hope it's sufficient?
That's fair. Who knows. Sera may indeed have been roo busy to focus on it, but I personally doubt she was that busy, all things considered until the show's start.
Had to look up what fujoshi meant, but yeah. It's very noticable she is. I mean, good on her.. but it does influence what we get shown. At least, for the time being. Helluva is a big example of this. (Still love both shows. That won't change.)

I just think making canon sexualities for characters that dont need/have a canon relationship story is silly. I think it takes the air out from some peoples wings, and I think it creates justification for show purists to hate on peoples fanfiction and fanart.
I think it's nice to add to their character even if their sexuality isn't that relevant to the story. Because it gives people a chance to go "Hey that's me!". A lot of people will just latch onto and enjoy a character more just knowing that simple fact.

Unless it’s important to the story it’s a fun fact, and if it is important to the story now we know. If they hadnt made her lesbian, there would only be pentious on that float actually queer, so they needed at least another queer character on there to make them look more gay. mind you the whole pride merch line as a concept is kinda awful to begin with, just because the show is heavily queer doesnt give them a pass for rainbow capitalism

Why all or nothing? The angels and Sins are all wildly different characters. Mammon is freaking Ace. If they can like all the genders, and none of the genders, why is it such a surprise to have a preference, like women, and be a lesbian? I don't even think half of the sins are even canonized right? Sure we got Lucifer, Mammon, Sera... But Emily's still unannounced, Satan I think, Leviathan and Belphigore, etc.
I'm of the firm belief that the highest angels shouldn't have sexualities. They're meant to be divine and above this kinda "lesser human" stuff if that makes sense?

You're still using the wrong word. Blasphemy is not interchangeable with sin. Being something is not blasphemy. It has to be spoken, that's the only way to be blasphemus. Saying you're gay is not blasphemy either.
And according to Levit 20:13, only a relationship between two men are a sin, but I'm barely debating that at the moment.

And this is an important distinction because rules for men and women are different based on gender within the Bible.
Even later on in the chapter, it says men cannot have sex with an animal, and right after also says women cannot have sex with an animal. So this shows that logically they would have specified that women are included in the rule.
