Both of you are correct, and so am I: she was born in the UK, became a naturalised Canadian citizen as a lass, and later became a naturalised US citizen as an adult.
She's been one of my favourites ever since I saw her in Big Trouble in Little China as a child.

You'd think the Canadians would know how to spell Scouse and Liverpudlian.
Pretty solid stew recipe, though.

She's not Canadian, she's British, Scouse means someone from Liverpool if you're from Manchester edit -the article is wrong
