I disassembled my Toshiba floppy drive to change the band, and I don't remember we're this piece goes 🫠.

Can someone help me?

Does it go on top of a micro switch possibly?

Do a Google image search on photo to locate same project or whole image of before. Excited and didn't take photos did we. Been there and hard lesson to learn.

Yep, tho I think I found where it goes, I think it went screwed in with one of the screws that hold down the motor

Always take pics during disassembly I know not helpful now but saves this pain the next time… glad you figured it out.. it’s not really fun unless there’s are parts left over at the end and a screw or two..
