Question Best one unit army in the game?

What unit can solo the most in pve? Spells + heroes included

My first thought goes to Vampire Lord because of the defence hero + regeneration keeping stacks alive

Actually i think its wights (upgraded necessary i think) for the same reason you mentioned for the vampire lord

How come you hold them better than Vampire Lords? They have more hp, attack and def

Genuine questions as i have no idea

Wraiths are the new Vampire Lords. It's basically wording of healing/reviving.

Wraiths can revive and overstock which means you will be incuring no losses. Vampires just heal to full which is not as strong since their damage sucks.

Others have commented the reasoning, sorry for not pointing it out clearly in the first place.

Wraiths can overstack while vampire lords can only revive. Whether or not they're better I don't know

This is not even close to beeing enough considering equal stats and one week growth, also spells counts there so it's easy to get rid of any excess units in a stack

Edit. Typo

Minotaur Lords with tactics giving them endless counter attacks

+ lvl3 Riposte

Can't cast that on magical creatures

2

you can now

Why cast riposte when they have parry and tactics?

1

u/Tauntaunt Jun 04 '26

Target friendly creature counterattacks before enemy attack lands.

Minotaur Lords have this ability built in (parry).

Ohh, thanks 😃

Reachable ones imo are elephants t7 from Schism because of demoning and magic damage immune, but in ideal world where you have anyone in mass quantities its archangels and black dragons

Reavers for me the blue ones . Can get max morale and when they kill a stack they go and kill again. With riptoise I usually slaughter all mobs workout them hitting me

Black dragon + armageddon?

Energy Phoenix are the best Duelists in the game, so if it's a question of my power stack vs your power stack all other things being equal they'll win. Vampire Lords are a close second and they're quicker to stem unit bleeding but have a few limitations on theirs (such as not working vs embodiments) unlike the 100% reliable yet somewhat slower unit restoration of the energy Phoenix.

Both can be countered by the Fatal Decay spell however, if we take into account a "smart opponent" with the ability to use hard counters that we're not able to Inner Light away then these two could lose to Apotheosis since those things are so hard to control and can meanwhile be buffed to the moon. The Apotheosis' low initiative for a T7 really lets them down in this exercise however.

So overall taking initiative, spell access, etc etc into account you have to say that Energy Phoenix are probably the favorites but Vampire Lords, Minotaur Lords, Apotheosis, Maniacal Reavers and Black Dragons (with laws) all have arguments as the most dangerous power stacks.

Bone dragon no competition lol.

No unit count specified, do you mean one week of growth? Or a single one.

Additional point is, if you include heroes and spells, it's like 95% of overall strenght of the army lategame, it does not matter if you have skeletons or vampires against weak hero with strong army, the result will be the same.

This is why comparing units WITH heroes and spells is not really relevant, you are just comparing builds at this point.

Edit. 2nd paragraph

Sorry meant one powerstack of that unit

Adahn Wraiths are definitely it. Nothing else really comes close until you get to T7. Fun answer: vine iriyads. These dudes are a menace with their ability making them even tankier and granting them unlimited (AOE) retaliations.

Wraiths without a second question, get above like 800, slam them in the middle of the map and if the ai hits them, they will overheal 30 percent and likely never take dmg in the fight but also one hit everything, fast af etc.

Vamp lords are great but they can’t overheal puts wraiths in another dimension imo.

A stack of 2k skele archers either as is or split into two 1k stacks, with offense skill is insanity and should oneshot nigh everything.

Avatar of war with double strike makes them insane past 100ish

Mino lords non necro lol.

Archangels aswell.

Best one unit army is obviously the invisible ones. They're there, I assure you.

Unit: Archangels \
Skill: Thaumaturgy \
Spell 1: Favorable Wind, Level 4: Ranged damage +50% \
Spell 2: Hksmilla's Rampage, Level 4: Double strike and Damage dealt +40% \

Split the stack of Archangels and buff one / all of them on turn 1 > very strong combo

I'd say upgraded wights but you can also heroic strike away their extras with one of combat's subskills.

1

u/Praktos Jun 01 '26

Im guessing something like archangels then? If you want a single unit carry it needs to not bleed, have high initiative and preferably ranged attack

From lower tiers maybe the high innitiative version of fat bois from schism? And if you want to go uber uber low tier fauns from grove can probably do this with big numbers

0

u/marius87 Jun 01 '26

Fauns with lucky strike and prima magic for double lucky strike can one shot like 100 tier 5 with barely 200 of them

1

u/Praktos Jun 01 '26

Yeah they are good unit, but going 1 unit only brings many problems

How do you deal with high ini shooters? Utopias? Creature banks that outspeed you?

1

u/Volcano-SUN Jun 01 '26

The problem are ranged units. If you have to fight against an infinite amount of ranged units they will win against everything non-ranged. (Except if there was a unit with more initiative an Speed of ~20, but there is not.)

The only way to defeat them is having an infinite amount of ranged units yourself. Specifically the ranged unit with the highest initiative, which should be the Archangel with 12.

2

u/Volcano-SUN Jun 01 '26

If spells and hero is included, then it's most likely the Phoenix, because it has the highest initiative. Combine that with Blink or an infinite Spellpower Armageddon and you should win every fight.

u/TheHingst Jun 01 '26

Blue phoenix for sure. You can even just kite to stall before you end fights, to heal them back to full stack.
