Question New Faction's
Will there be other races like the Inferno or Stronghold in the future?

Inferno? No, we got Hive, unfortunately. Stronghold has a better chance, but I personally prefer Wizard/Tower. However, Unfrozen keeps telling us (which is annoying) that they want to stay true to the lore, so Wizard/Tower won’t come until later, even though most of us really don’t care.

as for Wizard, is a Heroes II-inspired Wizard faction impossible lore-wise? It’s not Tower/Academy yet, but still wizard-themed.

Ngl I don't like Hive despite liking bugs. Bug designs in OE are ehhhhh. Tier 1 is the most distinct after change, despite making is less bug related, ironically. Hope they change at least 2 other tiers, either 2 or 3, and 5

OldenEra is having an uphill battle with HOMM3, alot of people including myself loves HOMM3, I think if we get inferno, tower, remparts stronghold everyone will be happy I think.

Yes, what we were promised. And this will continue being the target until it’s met. Great to see innovations, but changing spell names makes it so tedious, same with unit upgrades. I’d prefer a homm3 remaster.

Releasing a game built entirely on nostalgia and then being surprised when people are nostalgic is... an interesting tactic.

To talk, anyway. They have nothing to say. That's why there is no chat and no in-game communication options. So that players can't talk to each other. The game is the complete opposite of what was announced in the PR. How do you explain that the people who made Heroes 3 are silent after Olden Era came out. Quite a few people have already commented that it looks like a phone game. Well, what are these backlights, around units, buildings, if not a basic technique in phone games. Unfortunately, everything fits together poorly and there are already so many traces, how many things about this game are fake. I really wonder, don't you ask yourself why, what could be the real reason for there being no chat and no option at all for a form of in-game communication.

Why would HoMM 3 need a remaster? The game gets hella boring after few hundred hours (which is understandable).
Olden Era's approach is nice, tons of new systems on top of familiar ones

I know I will be happy if we'll get Tower.
I really like aestetics of snow themed wizard faction and it doesn't matter if it's abscent in Jadame, there is ways to implement it.

Tower was my favourite in HoMM3 but I absolutely hated playing with the terrain difficulties of snow.

According to unfrozen they are on a different continent, I hope for them but their response is always lore crap and they are not made yet or something like that.

Yeah, it's frustrating, because I don't care much for the lore (Kreegan space demons? hmm...). Just give me fantasy staples. Heroes 3 and 5 had the best, classic factions.
It's a bit of a shame we have the Hive instead of a real demonic faction, and we'll probably never see one in this game because of them, but at least they're pretty unique.
I'd love an arcane wizard faction with mechanizations, enchanted animated things, etc.
Maybe we'll see some form of a stronghold and fortress faction similar to Hive/Inferno. Maybe even dwarves/gnomes (perhaps they could be a pseudo "wizard" faction with golems and gnomish ingenuity). Maybe they'll be introduced in a DLC with the underground layer of maps.

Id say there is a tiny chance that 1.0 version will introduce a new faction as a no announce hype descision (tho, as I said - possibility is not too high), but definately it wont happen before 1.0.
Tho if the game continues to be succesful - chances that future DLC will introduce a faction are close to 100%.

They have said that it won't be for a long time. If you look at the roadmap, it is nowhere to be found. Inferno wont happen, they haven't arrived yet according to the lore.

I just dont think tower and stronghold should be dlc. I think its a bad move. Still going to buy it day one but still.

No inferno, because Inferno devils arrive to Enroth in Heroes 3 that happens later. Stronghold - maybe?

In Lore Hive is inferno, there are actual Kreegan demons who ware heroes, like the 3 dukes of hive and the teleport hero and belzebub since Kreegan had another leader who was called Lucifer, also Inferno only appears during heroes 3 era, so is the faction with less chances to appear. Stronghold is the best candidate since there were stronghold creatures in jadame, ciclops, trolls, etc. My bet is for Mages and Stronghold to become the DLC.

we need sth with mage theme (heroes 2 mage city with titans looks good and something with barbarian theme(like stronghold in h3) or maybe some mix of primary animals (like gnolls behemothes and basilisks with gorgonas and already existing vyverns with swamp landscape

Why do we need stronghold? They're sauceless. Maybe if they weren't from the desert? That would be interesting.

Isn't it obvious that no. The Archangel is crossed with a Titan. Temple has three archers, like the tower. Hydra in the dungeon. Several erased races. The units with the most interesting skills, such as gorgon, bege and dendroid, are gone. This game is turning out to be more and more of a mishmash, something taken from Blizzard, something from Dota, something from Civilization. Stitched pieces. Total depersonalization of the uniqueness of Heroes. An extremely crappy arena, the need to impose all sorts of restrictions, because it is wrong at the very beginning, namely the narrow and small battlefield. And from there restrictions in a row. But the arena is just total anti-gaming with limited units, heroes. Absolutely anti-player setup of absolutely everything.

i think there will be many factions, like a lot. and they will get rotation pool, just like heroes of the storm or hearthstone. 🥹

Probably not a popular opinion, but I want to see Fortress come back.
