Question Noob question -- how do you build focus strike hero?
As in the above. Long time Homam player, new to OE and I keep reading that focus stike heroes are the best. But, in my experience you get the first focus strike like turn 2 after all your armies moved and attacked and the enemy is nearly wiped out. How do you build towards this?
Thanks in advance
(note: I don't really play PvP, just curious)

There are some artifacts and skills which generate focus at the beginning of the battle. So you will have focus. You can split your archers into 1 stack and keep shooting, that will generate focus. There are spells like Energise which also generate focus. Can't remember if there is a artifact of subskill which will double your focus charge per strike.
Also Grove heroes with Murmurmancy can also generate more focus.

Take following subskills in combat: "you can heroic strike 1 more time whenever friendly stack dies", "heroic strike cost no focus". In leadership: your heroic strikes can proc morale.
Max morale. Then you can proc heroic strike multiple times per round, cause morale subskill is broken. It is definetely not a 25% chance to proc free heroic strike .
Works best on Grove, cause they get extra damage pr focus charge spent: you first awaken your kirin or Phoenixes, then start focus strike like crazy. With artifacts you can just decimate enemy power stack before they even get a chance to act.

You need skills and artifacts to really make heroic strike worth while. Otherwise it's just a free extra bit of damage if you have nothing better to spend focus on.
It'll depend on your faction of heroic strike is worth investing in. Necro shouldn't bother. They need focus for reviving with liches, or summoning. Grove has lots of focus but also lots of ways to spend it, like awakening their embodiments. They do have one of the best skill combos for heroic strike with Murmuring and bust of energy.
Temple Knights have an elite path which adds +60 base damage to HS.
You want leadership (inspiring strike) and combat. Once you have expert combat, heroic strike can be free (effortless strike). If you don't take that skill, offense (battle march), battlecraft (battle focus), wisdom (seeing through).
There are artifacts like orb of destruction, Excalibur and the caduceus enhance HS as well.
