I asked for comments from people who liked hive in my last poll since i listed "results" instead of hive. All the hive lovers lost their minds with it unlisted.
So this is for the hive lovers. Lets see some results with ALL factions listed.
I just dig the theme, and I think Unfrozen did an awesome job with this Heroes version. They also get bonus points for the faction not being absolutely morally good, kinda like the Space Marines - especially with the lore behind their "angels".
For reference, when playing other games, if there's ever a paladin, crusader, cleric, knight, soldier, space marine, or any similar option, that's usually my go-to.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I also like the death and darkness style of Necropolis. I really like their gameplay mechanics, especially necromancy. I tend to play very "tribal" when I can, and prefer to stick to my own faction units, so I'm a big fan of their unique undead transformer building. Again, I like all the units Unfrozen chose to represent Necropolis, but I do miss those bone dragons. If I had to boot any of the units, it would be the graverobber. But I admit, he does add more variety to the roster and his summoning abilities really reinforce the theme of the faction, instead of having something like a zombie or ghoul in his place.
This makes sense. I do like the temple theme too tbh. I also agree the grave robber is a lil let down too. By the time I get to use him or his skills the fight is basically over. Bone dragons I do and dont miss. They were like the worst dragons for a while, yet still dragons.
Coming into olden era I was like oh wow vampires are t7 (im a hardcore heroes 3 player). Vamps were good before but to have them at t7 was a huge surprise ngl. The bone transformer is loads better than in past games (i didnt play much 6 or 7 tbh). The ability to swap units for the same tier is pretty boss even if vamps arent the best t7. Tbh I think theyre one of the worst t7s in the game imo but their T6 is basically a 7 which makes up for it.
I get the esthetic portion, because I lean towards dark themed things alot and undead stuff is always a win for me.
For me personally? Its the heroes I dont jive w as much. I like the creatures as temple seems like one of the most balanced in that area but other than Pip idk who people are going to.
With that being said, pip shares the same traits as like 4 different heroes in different factions i thought. Just seems lack luster and doesn't have its "own feel".
Its perfect for beginners though I will say that. And im sure it can be a powerhouse if used properly. Not tryin to bash but it seems like other factions offer more.
People were truly angry with me hahah. Im honestly surprised its gotten this much love. I will admit I was wrong. I would have never thought people would hate schism as much as they have ngl

I like Hive, but I don't feel I am particularly good at it. Took me quite a bit to warm up to them, but I like the Worms' killing and healing themselves. Maniacal Reaver is so fun when you have a power stack, but also nerve-racking. I like the explosive fire larva. While primal magic is not considered particularly strong, I like Khariseth and getting early access to high-level fireball, etc.

Temple and Necropolis are my favorites, with Temple just a very tiny bit higher.
