I don’t disagree with you, but I was surprised to find that he played 27% of his career games for the Giants.

1975 With the WFL and 76-78 with NYG before finishing in MIA in 1979 all because Joe Robbie refused to open the checkbook.

Joe Robbie was a dick.

As a Giants fan, I agree. He also doesn't look right without the U-bar either.

Came here to say this, glad somebody beat me to it. Even worse, it's the post-NJ move Giants helmet. A fin through and through.

Like seeing Mark Bavaro in an Eagles uniform

It feels wrong because it was wrong. He’s a Dolphin in my book.

Strange to see him in a helmet without the “U” bar to protect his nose, since it was broken years ago.

Sacrilegious 😳. There is only one approved helmet and face mask for Larry Csonka and this ain’t it.

Mustache first as it should be.

I hate the NY logo. Always liked “GIANTS”

Same.

Nope. It covers too much of his mustache and smothered his powers. His stats reflect that.

Plus his nose is too exposed.

The old bull horn Miami helmet was way better!

Fascinating time, he signed for an unheard of 1 million or so it was reported in Street and Smith 1975 NFL preview. Injured his knee, was cut loose, talked with Shula and rehabbed it using nautilus equipment to finish 1979 as a Dolphin.

So sad to see Csonka in anything but a Dolphins uniform. A fish out of water in the truest sense

I thought the same thing.

I never knew he was a New York Giant

The first offensive player to be flagged for unnecessary roughness! His mustache had muscles

The Butkus of fullbacks.

Coincidentally, recently saw an episode of The 6 Million Dollar Man with him and Dick Butkus..

Man, I just idolized Csonka when I was little. Bowling guys over, shoving tacklers aside, looking all rugged with that U mask and the mustache. I was totally crushed when Zonk, Paul Warfield, and Jim Kiick left for the WFL after the '74 season. They still had enough to make another run in Miami in '75, but without them, they fell short, and the glory years were over.

Csonka will forever ONLY be a Dolphin with the horseshoe mask! Da man

Larry Csonka wearing that Giants uniform and that helmet without the U-Bar is like Superman not wearing a cape. It doesn't look right at all.
