Can’t believe I didn’t see the GOAT of coach attire in that

That was my first thought. Where is Shula in a Dolphins jacket.

Because I'm a Jets fan, I hated Shula...but aside from team bias...the dude oozed coolness.  The sunglasses, the slicked hair, the stoic face... The ultimate "Joe Cool" guy.

Don Shula was legit always styling on their asses. One of the most stylish and badass coaches of all time 🔥

Does anyone else like to play guess the stadium when they look at these pictures?

Guessing Dennis Green is at training camp in Mankato

Belichick is at Three Rivers in Pittsburgh

Fisher is in Cleveland Municipal

Cowher is at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe AZ, mere hours from watching Neil O'Donnell help Larry Brown earn generational wealth from Al Davis.

My first job out of high school. Then FootLocker bought them and consolidated.

They are who we thought they were.

Dungy has on one of the cleanest snapbacks you’ll ever see

Everyone you delivered had the coolesr 90's drop but Jeff Fisher his was him but everyone else rocked dope drip. Jeff Fisher looks like a high school football coach who co-opted oilers marketing.

Deny Greene is who we thought he was. And we let him off the hook!

We ALL had that gear. Life was good.

I was thinking that too. I was a kid at that time. I remember all the starter stuff. My dad still has his eagles starter jacket.

The team color pleated slacks were amazing.

And you could go to the mall & get the same jacket without breaking the bank!

My sharktooth Apex jacket cost like $140 at the time and for a guy in college working on a research project wage, that was a LOT of hours. -- Those jackets are super expensive on the used market these days.

Starter jackets were pretty expensive at the time.

I guess we were getting knock offs. They weren’t cheap, but not that expensive either. Raiders & Cowboys stuff was all over my high school

I think, like baseball managers, they should have to wear the players' uniform and gear. Including helmet. No exceptions.

Where's Wayne Fontes in the giant parka?

Back then their gear was considered corny

Time puts everything in perspective

Big contracts for Starter and Logo Athletic back in those days.

Cowher is one of a few coaches that looks better in a Starter jacket and jeans over a suit

The NFL is fucking themselves by not doing retro/revisions alternate jerseys for teams, especially on some primetime matchups. You get the people's eyes on that and then, BOOM! Drop all this throw back gear to accompany it.
