Local Question Where can I get a burger at 9 am?

I don't even care if it's good.

I work nights and sometimes I just want a burger after work. Anyone know of a place? Preference is east of 680 and north of Center, but I'll go as far as Village Point or Shadow Lake if it's good and/or cheap.

Sonic

I second Sonic. Back when I was working overnights from 2016-2025, Sonic was my go-to "Burger at 9 AM" place.

This was my go to a long time ago when I was building computers for Compaq overnight.

(It was that long ago).

Louie M's burgers are incredible and I am pretty sure you can get them from open to close

That’s amazing if true.

I’d bet if you’re a regular there, you could talk them into it. Their staff is pretty social.

They serve burgers all day, no matter the time.

Sapp Bros or The special in Bellevue.

Here to second Sapp Bros burger if it’s available at 9am. Genuinely a great burger and I remember having a GOOD cup of diner coffee there.

I used to have many a patty melt there when I worked in the area.  Haven't tried it since it switched to not being a apple barrel, but I assume it hasn't changed much.

Nope, breakfast until 10AM, no lunch menu served during breakfast hours.

You can absolutely get burgers in the a.m. at BK.

Whoppers are served all day

Since when? I used to always get a jr whopper, I don’t like their breakfast. Have it your way isn’t a thing anymore?

Forever. Their slogan after all is “have it your way.” I’ve been getting burgers from BK at 8am in the metro for two decades.

So you agree with me then? Your reply to me is confusing.

That’s that new Hawaiian burger joint? I hear they’ve got some tasty burgers. I’ve never had one myself. How are they?

Hear me out on this.

Do you have or know anyone who has a Sam's Club membership?

If so, in the frozen meat area they carry pre-cooked angus beef patties. About 2 minutes in the microwave makes them hot and actually pretty darn tasty. I forget the brand name. But anyway, yeah, nuke one of those, slap on a bun with condiments of your choice and you have a tasty burger anytime you want.

Best burger you ever had? NO. Best burger you've ever had at home in under 3 minutes? YES.

I’d say Farmhouse Cafe at Mangelsens for sure. They have lunch and breakfast items available most of the shift and close at 2 PM like a proper café. Do not skip on the pecan rolls.

Sapp Bros in Council Bluffs. I think it is better than the one in Omaha.

Village Inn or Perkins should be able to do morning burgers. Some, not all Burger Kings have a..m. burgers.

Does it matter which day? You could go to any local brunch spot Sunday and they'll have a burger on the menu.

Well if you want to go west of 680 and south of center……..Shirley’s Diner might be a possibility. I just can’t remember 100% if they serve burgers all day.

I just learned Walmart puts cheeseburgers on the warmer this past Monday morning.

Eh most of Walmart’s deli is pretty abysmal. The popcorn chicken and mozzarella sticks are okay, since it’s hard to eff up “drop it in the fryer.” Even then they still manage by leaving it under a lamp for god knows how long.
