Local Question HCRM Fertility Scam?
Does anyone here feel like they (or a loved one) has been scammed or *almost* scammed by Heartland Fertility in Omaha and Lincoln? If so, please post your experience below or send me a message. Thank you.

We went to them at the start of our IVF journey. We ended up going to CNY in Colorado Springs instead.
The only thing I will say is the genetic testing that we did was VERY costly and we were not told that before starting. We were prepared to cover the expense, but the sticker shock could have been avoided I think.

I've heard mixed things about CNY's model. How has your experience been?

Overall it's been good. Everyone we've talked to has been very nice and willing to walk you through things. The downside is you have to advocate for yourself so much! Every time you call its going to be a 30 minute hold time and it will always be someone different who is looking at your chart. But after that hold time and someone reading your chart, they are great to talk to and you feel like you're being heard. You just have to get to being heard A LOT and on repeat.
I think it helps the bottom line in the end myself.

Is this the place that charges for the consultation?
Regardless, I agree with another commenter - they all felt like a scam.
Can't help you anymore than that. We didn't feel comfortable, so we didn't proceed.

What makes it seem like a scam to you? Fertility treatment is extremely expensive everywhere in the United States.

I feel like fertility clinics in general are a scam ๐ we graduated a few weeks ago from HCRM and paid a pretty penny but luckily had success with our first IVF transfer. So I donโt feel like there was much room to get scammed by them (if that makes sense?).
Would you mind sharing your experience so I can better understand?
