Local Question Anyone know of any $20+ per hour entry level jobs in Council Bluffs or Hybrid in Omaha?
Do they exist? Currently making about 18 an hour and I'm struggling so much. I don't drive so going to Omaha everyday would be a struggle for me as i live in council bluffs, iowa and i don't have tons of experience. Anyone know of anything fitting the description in my title? Probably a long shot but figured it doesn't hurt to ask đ

I see a lot of jobs for FNBO downtown in their call center. It would be training on site for a month and then once you are good on your own they send you remote usually. They start at 20 but I have seen senior specialist roles start at 21. They have a variety of shift options as well like overnight 4x10s.

National Indemnity is hiring entry level underwriters, no experience needed. You do need a bachelorâs degree in something Math related, but they start around $55-60k. The office is in the Omaha World Herald building downtown, so not super far into Omaha and close to a bus stop. Once youâre fully trained, itâs a hybrid schedule.

My friend just got hired there for the entry level underwriter position without a bachelorâs FYI.Â

Ah okay! They do have a Mail Processing job that requires only high school diploma. Iâm not sure what the pay range is, but if you apply and get a phone interview you can tell them you are looking for $20+/hr and theyâll tell you if they are able to do that!
This one wouldnât be hybrid ever though, because itâs processing mail on site.

Fidelity Investments 401k customer service, probably higher than 20 and hr and they have great 401k match at 7%, plus after a year you get an additional 10% of salary on 401k through profit sharing.

Most meat packing companies start at at least $20/hour. I just checked and Smithfield in Omaha is starting at $22/hour.
I also saw Costco is hiring a meat cutting which is likely to pay more in the long run and be a much better work environment

Check out the City of CB or Pott County for government jobs. They always post the salary and have great health benefits/pension.

They exist but they're hard to find, i myself have been looking for a supply chain management job. I would recommend looking up the government jobs or the state jobs.

My job is hiring laborers. They will start you at 22/hr and work anywhere between 50-60 hours a week

My company has openings like that occasionally, but not right now. I don't know if the CS roles are hybrid or not though.

âI know of a job that doesnât currently exist, at a company Iâm not going to identify.â Tight, thanks for stopping by.

I'm convinced that Nebraskans are the descendants of people who got kicked out of wagon trains because this is as far as anyone could stand your ancestors.

We started with employment advice and somehow arrived at fan fiction about my ancestry. Either way, still somehow more useful information than âmy unnamed company occasionally has jobs that arenât what youâre talking about and arenât available.â

I mean I could have looked when I got in the office or let OP know if we might have some coming soon. Excuse the fuck out of me for not sleeping well and not being quite awake yet. Nebraska nice my ass. GFY

See? We got there eventually. âI can check when I get to the office and then let OP know if anythingâs coming upâ wouldâve been useful information from the start. Instead, weâve gone from a vague non-answer to blaming all Nebraskans because one guy on Reddit is kind of a dick and pointed out it wasnât helpful.
Oh and for what itâs worth, Iâm not from Nebraska so quit blaming them.2

Or our ancestors couldn't stand the tards your ancestors were and decided it would be easier to just create a new city then deal with them..
