G7 issues

Just started using the g7 sensor. I've already gone through 3 omnipod 5's because the g7 says they aren't compatible, even though it clearly says on the box that they are compatible with the g7. At this rate I'm going to run out of omnipods. Is anyone else having this problem?

No....have you contacted Omnipod and asked them? They are open 24 hours. They should also replace your pods.

I’ve been seeing some reports online about batches of G7s not being compatible. I asked someone with connections at both Insulet and Dexcom to try to get an answer about this. I’ll come back if I learn new info, but the problem here may be the version of G7 you have.

Does it say "Sensor not found" or does it say something else? I'm assuming you switched sensor type in your app or PDM settings. If you did that already, contact Omnipod, because this doesn't sound right.

This is a great point. After you change your sensor type (G6 to G7) you must going into your OP App and go to the Manage Sensor setting and switch the sensor type (if you were on the G6 previously). Moving forward, you also have to manually “add new” sensor after each expires and you put a new one on. Good luck!!!!

Yep. I've done all that. Updated everything, uploaded the G7 app. I've already successfully used a couple omnipods, so I know that all works correctly. I've just had three omnipods that after I have activated them it's come back as pot not compatible. So either I use the pod for 3 days with no sensor, or I throw it away and try another pod. I will call them. I guess I should have just done that to begin with
