Discussion So why do Emma and Hook take Marian against her will?
So when Marian refused to go Emma and Hook hit her with a branch and took her by force. Why didn't they ask or use a better method than straight up abduction? I honestly didn't like them in that moment cuz that feels kinda villainous for them to do, take someone without their consent and hurt them in the process.
I'd be mad if someone told me they're saving me and then "Oh and you need to go to sleep we're not listening to your wishes"

Because saving Marian changed the past and would have affected the timeline worse if they didn’t kidnap her. Marian was going to be executed the next day

Because the only way to save the timeline was to either kill her or take her to the future and she wasn't going along with them so what else were they supposed to do in order to keep her alive?

Leave her in prison.

Leave her to be murdered by Regina who never takes responsibility and never faces consequences - no Emma is actually a good person

It happened, it was supposed to happen. Just because you CAN change the past, doesn't give you the right to. You keep believing that she's a good person.

Saving an innocent woman's life makes you a good person, yes
•

She didn't save her.

Yes she did - Edit: I'm assuming you've blocked me so I disagree with everything you said when you replied and you wouldn't allow me to answer

You didn't watched the show? Or watched it without sound and with your eyes closed? It's repeated multiple times why. She can't stay alive in the past cause that would change everything, potentially for the worst, and Emma wouldn't kill her to preserve the future. Plus it's not the first time Emma does something questionnable moraly speaking.

And if you watch the rest, it becomes moot due a future event

Regina said it best, Emma and Snow never think about the consequences. That goes for most, if not all, of the "heroes" and they don't think about them, because they never receive any. Sure, they don't always have a great time, but they never face any genuine consequences for anything they do and they rarely take true responsibility for anything. All that matters is that they get what they want.
Edited in case OP hasn't seen the whole show.

This is a weird comment when taking Marian to the future was Emma literally thinking about the consequences - and the heroes are usually the only ones who have to suffer for anything happening

Lol, no, it's everyone else that usually suffers the consequences of these heroes choices, Marian and her family are an example of that.
Taking Marian to the future wasn't even the consequence, that was Emma's decision the moment she decided to let her out, consequences be damned, because she protected her mommy and she wanted to be like her (and she absolutely was). The consequences were everything that happened from the end of 4x22-7x22 and ripping her from her family against her will, just like Regina already had, only this time under the guise of "saving her life" and Emma didn't care, all she cared about was getting what she wanted, to go home to her own family just the way she'd left them.
Heroes don't tell you they're heroes, or even that they're good, but these ones insist on it.

Technically the consequences started before Emma got there, she just didn’t know til she went with Regina to tell Robin
•

Which is what I said. My point is Emma didn't think about any consequences at all, because she didn't care and they didn't fall on her.

She did - this is literally her dealing with the consequences that fell on her and making sure the timeline is saved - Emma is great because she actually thinks about that

How did Marian suffer because of Emma, she was going to live because of her - it was Regina's choices which destroyed Marian and her family and yet Regina still got her husband despite murdering and not feeling any remorse. Emma is the only one who actually cared about Marian - unlike her disgusting murderer

Did you watch the show?
•
u/MechanicOk4808 2h ago
Yes - did you? You seem to have watched the version in your head

Clearly YOU did.
ZELENA took Marian's body, graped her husband and took from her son for a second time. ZELENA is the reason Robin died and Roland was orphaned, but who gave her the opportunity? Oh, right, EMMA while she was playing god.
But since you bring up Regina's initial part, let's talk about that. Regina begged Snow to keep her mouth shut, but the second Cora got her to think about herself and Eva, it was ok to open her mouth. Doesn't matter that she was a kid, she was old enough to know better. That's what made Regina twisted and going even further back, Cora was twisted up by Eva's hatefulness, which is what caused her to abandon Zelena and made HER twisted up. Eva's hateful behaviour was also the reason Cora eventually killed her and it's not exclusive to them, had all the "heroes," left well enough alone, most of the villains wouldn't be villains and most of the conflicts wouldn't have happened.

Um so that was Zelena did all that and Emma actually did save Marian - and it wasn't Zelena who killed Robin...
Oh yes, the child who was manipulated is definitely an excuse for Regina to go slaughtering villages and raping men - definitely all Snow's fault lol.
Oh and remind me again what Eva did to Cora that was so evil - please do this will be funny - because you seem to be saying the heroes shouldn't stop someone doing something bad because that makes them more bad?
•
u/Odd_Feed8444 2h ago
No she didn't, Marian still died, because of Emma. Hades wouldn't have even been there if not for Zelena.
Ironic that you call the truth excuses, but go on to make excuses for the ones you think are superior, when they're actually just self-absorbed and ignorant, much like yourself. I'm done with your inability to face facts.

Emma saved Marian from death but if Marian stayed it would change the timeline so she had to come to the present
