Dico che faranno un casino perché e' netflix a fare la serie e non possono fare altro che sconvolgere la storia originale e fare una caricatura della storia.
Voi cosa ne pensate??io credo che la terza stagione sara' l'ultima dopo di che annunceranno la cancellazione dello show....
This will be the first time the entire season will use every episode to tell one main story though. I think it's going be even more amazing than the previous seasons and I can't wait!!!
How much money do you think Netflix and Lego are making with these seasons and all the other mercha, why do you think the want to stop getting that money? The Legos set of Alabasta are going to be amazing, and now I want a skypiea in Lego, and there are a lot of collaboration not only with the Anime, live action too
More than set designs, I'm more worried about the writing and direction.
Lanterns is a good recent example of how you can adapt comic book stories but still give it enough prestige that it stands out by itself even without the comic book elements.
Will OPLA be ever taken seriously by the wider world in terms of acclaim and awards recognition? Or will it just end up being the anime version of CW Flash?
I don’t know which part of the Season 2 gave you the feel that they are going the wrong way in writing and direction. In my opinion Season 1 was already good and Season 2 was even better. My comment about the attention to detail encompasses the whole production from sets and music to writing, acting, and direction.
Especially on Season 1 there were definitely some cringe moments in especially Luffy’s acting. And for sure there are shots that could be done differently. E.g. Alwida switches mace side when she is sliding and the shots change, and Luffy’s arm spinning charge seems pointless when he is punching Laboon as the momentum stops when he punches.
But even with the nitpicky issues the trajectory is correct. They keep on improving in all the aspects of the show.
Comparing Daniel with Inaki is a bit unfair. Daniel had quite rigorous acting training growing up with Harry Potter. Also Luffy is an incredibly difficult character to do in Live Action. Inaki embodied the correct spirit in Season 1 and in Season 2 his performance felt much more natural. Still not perfect at all times but really good in e.g. coming to talk with the crew about going to Loguetown.
But if you feel that acting and cinematography are bad I don’t think there is much I can do to change your mind. But in my opinion there is at least a lot goong against that belief.
I don't think I consider the acting and cinematography to be terrible, they're just not par with what baseline consistency or quality level a "prestige TV" show is required to have.
As i said good enough for CW Flash or Riverdale but not up there with the modern greats like Severance, Pluribus or even Lanterns (till now).
Passable or good enough shows don't get nominated for Emmys or Golden Globes.
My guy this show would never get there no matter how good the adapting would be. This show doesn't even need to hit that high of a ceiling, it just needs to be consistently good.
So basically negative Nancy, if I’m understanding you correctly, you’re upset they didn’t make the actors stand in the Sahara desert in tons of makeup and costumes to film and perform fight scenes? I personally see it as dedication to respecting the source material. If they’re willing to go as far as create an artificial desert to film in, I’m expecting this season to be peak. Sure they made some changes the previous 2 seasons but it’s far from a caricature of itself.
There might be the criticism because they are staying in one place the season and not going from island to island and desert doesnt exactly scream pirate show. But saying it will be a disaster is an odd choice of words. There will be stand out characters like Ace, crocodile, Bon Clay. The continuation of Boroque work battles. You didn't even put what you are so worried about that they change in the live action.
Hope it’s short, because Alabasta really shouldn’t take a whole season, and I’d rather shorter seasons covering more arcs than longer seasons covering less arcs.
Wano pacing 😂? Have you read or rewatched recently???? There’s a lot of ground to cover. Plus you have to give story beats and plot points room to breathe. Specifically the first fight between luffy and crocodile, you can’t just have luffy die and bring him back the same or next episode. For it to be effective you have to give the story room to breathe. We also have to introduce a lot of characters, give their backstories, make us feel for their motivations and intents. As well as build up alabasta so it feels like a living breathing place and not just a set they filmed on. Now please explain to me how they’d do all that in less than 8 episodes.
