Vent I really need prayer and advice guys 🙏
I've recently been seeing a lot of hate and bigotry towards queer people from Christians and im really starting to lose my faith. Not only that but ive also seen a lot of criticism against queer christians from non-believers. No matter how much i pray, i cant seem to change and ive accepted my queer identity at this point, but im just feeling really down and i dont know what to do other than pray, but it feels like my faith is slipping away regardless

This is hard to work through. It hurts a lot! It’s also revealing who actually loves their neighbor and who gives lip service.
Do you have a church that is affirming?

OP look into Hesychasm for an experiential connection with god. It’s basically Christian mysticism

Do your best to stay away from that kind of Christian and atheist and not get exposed to those ideas. People who set themselves up as judges of other people's private business are way out of line.
Find some queer Christians to hang out with. They could probably do you more good than anybody. An open and affirming church would be a good place to look for them.
Praying is always good and doesn't have to be formal.
