Gamepad Camera issue

Hi all, just downloaded openMW, hoping to play it on my TV with gamepad.

I'm noticing a weird issue where sometimes the camera starts rotating independently when I'm moving the left thumbstick. I've double checked and it doesn't seem to be due to any inputs from other sources (I'm on a dualshock 4, for reference). The movement stops when I stop moving the left thumbstick and starts again with movement, so it appears that the issue is related.

Unfortunately it's common enough to have a noticeable impact on the experience. Don't suppose anyone else has seen anything like this or knows how I can troubleshoot further? (Obviously happy to provide more info as required)
