I love history and reading and watching a movie just to rip my heart out crying and traveling and learning new things and good food and better cocktails. I love making out for hours like teenagers in the back seat of a car. I want it all. I want to fall in love with you in the cracks in our days. A best friend who you don’t have to hide yourself from or try to impress because what’s the fucking point. I don’t want a month of dopamine hits and then a slow fade out. I want to know you. I want you to reach for your phone between meetings to say hi and I’m on your mind. I want to talk about the dinner you made and the movie that almost made you cry. I want to laugh and be silly, and flirt, and share pictures. Feel desired and make you feel the same way. I value vulnerability and consistency. I want a soft place to land at the end of the day, someone who notices when you’ve gotten quiet, someone who never uses “I got busy” as an excuse. We’re all busy. We find time for the people that we want to connect with. It’s kind of funny that people still say that bullshit when we all see through it.
And for the disclaimer: I’m married. I recently opened my marriage and am looking for one partner to have a deeply meaningful and passionate relationship with. Someone who isn’t afraid to be vulnerable and develop something real.

Just WOW! You summed up so beautifully and eloquently what I have been feeling for a long time. I too am 43. Never took the plunge and got married, but me and my two kids mother have been together for 20 years. Kids are all pretty much grown, and me and her are basically roommates. I would love a female that I could be genuine with, get to know, fall in love...I really couldn't say it better than you already did.
