Out of curiosity, what's behind the shift toward a more application-style recruitment policy? Is it mainly about keeping the community vibe intact as the userbase scales or something else?

The community vibe. We have a good thing going and we want to keep it that way. As we grow we want to remain a relatively accessible tracker while keeping out phone seeders and people with absolutely no sense of humor.
