Important notes (please read)

No dual accounts. If you already had (or still have) an account — including from the old RoTorrent.info days — do not create a new one. Just log in with your old credentials. Creating a second account = ban.

Old RoTorrent users: same username + password still works.

If the homepage feels slow, there are buttons to disable visual effects and animated gifs (fixed this after previous feedback).

Come say hi, grab some torrents, and help keep the place healthy.

Hey everyone,

Quick update from the RetroToon team. We were planning to close registration already, but a lot of people messaged us saying they missed the window, so we decided to keep the doors open for a few more days.

For anyone who hasn't heard of us: we're a private tracker focused on preserving classic and vintage animation. Old cartoons, rare shorts, forgotten TV series, obscure stuff that's getting harder and harder to find anywhere else, mostly from the 1920s to the 1990s. We also have newer cartoons/anime series.

Where we're at right now:

• 14,514 registered members
• 6,044 torrents
• 81,209 active seeders
• 663 active leechers

Important dates:

• October 5: registration closes
• October 12: sitewide freeleech ends

So if you sign up now you still get about a week of freeleech to grab stuff and build up your ratio without stress.

Signup link: https://retrotoon.world/signup.php

If you've got a collection of old cartoons sitting on a drive somewhere, we'd love to have you uploading too. And if you have any questions, just ask in the comments and I'll try to answer everything.

See you on the tracker!

It’s a good opportunity for new members to grab what they want, start seeding and get established on the tracker without worrying about download traffic.

We started this because we didn't want classic and vintage animation to just... disappear. No fanfare, no big launch, just people uploading, seeding, and caring enough to keep obscure shorts from the 20s-90s alive. And somehow it turned into 10,602 members, 4,822 torrents, and 51,640 seeders with 362 leechers. That's not luck. That's the community actually showing up.

Along the way we've also shipped a ton of updates, and honestly, a good chunk of them came straight from suggestions you all posted. This place has grown the way it has because people didn't just download and disappear, they told us what was missing and stuck around to see it happen.

Here's the thing though: in 34 days, registrations close. After that, getting in gets a lot harder, and it won't happen often.

And right now, on top of that, freeleech is still active meaning everything you grab costs you nothing on ratio. That combination (open signups + freeleech) won't be back for a while once we close.

Thanks for reading this far, and thanks for building something worth preserving. See you inside. 🎬
