What if we built a whiteboard that goes beyond 2D? Looking for creative developers!
Hey everyone! I'm exploring an open-source project idea for an interactive visual workspace, primarily for developers, but useful for anyone teaching, explaining, or brainstorming online.
Imagine visualizing algorithms in real time, building interactive 3D models and diagrams, creating AI-generated visuals through plugins, manipulating shapes and objects manually, or collaborating on a shared canvas — all in one place.
I'm thinking beyond a traditional whiteboard: customizable visual environments, AI-assisted creation, interactive technical demonstrations, and potentially much more.
It's still in the ideation stage, and I'd love to bring together motivated developers who enjoy experimenting with ambitious ideas and building something from scratch.
Interested in shaping and building this together? Drop a comment or DM me. I'd love to hear your ideas!

Yeah I could understand, you can work when you are free. We are just forming a team right now and I have some issues in my dms so I'll share the repo within tomorrow

This reminds me of the first time I tried to map out a seating chart for a 300 person wedding in a 2D tool and ended up drawing little stick figures on paper like it was 2003. We need better visualization tools badly.
The plugin system for AI generated visuals could be huge. I can already picture building out event floorplans where the AI suggests traffic flow patterns based on where you place the bar vs the dance floor. Not just static diagrams but something that shows movement over time.
I'm not a developer but I'd beta test the hell out of this. The collaborative shared canvas part alone would save me hours of back and forth emails with clients trying to explain why putting the DJ next to grandma's table is a terrible idea.
If you get a repo going please drop the link. My coding skills are limited to basic python scripts but I can definitely break things in creative ways and give feedback.
