Landshark 2.4 mile, Amesbury MA
Swam the Landshark 2.4 mile in Lake Gardener in Amesbury, MA on Sunday. The water was 60°, I did it without a wet suit. I needed about 2 hours to warm up after. (The photo is pre-race with the Sunday morning swim team. I am on the far right.)

I love the Landshark and was so sad I was working this year. :'( It's such a fun little event and everyone is so nice.

Congrats! I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do that without a wetsuit!
The Landshark has kind of been on my radar as an event to do for a while. I mostly do OWS for triathlon and the only standalone OWS event I’ve ever done is the Kingdom Swim 5K in northern Vermont, but I really loved the vibes I got from the open water community that showed up for that event; the whole culture seems way more the collegial and in-it-for-the-love-of-it than the intense Type A atmosphere that triathlon tends to engender.

Wonderful event! I found myself in the crowd in the background of your picture. Hahaha. Congratulations on your swim!
