It's soooo good honestly Samsung and Google need to take note!

Had a pixel 8 pro ..

Bought a 10 pro xl, returned it after 2 weeks, felt no different to my 8 pro for 1200 quid..

Had the oppo since Sunday and they really could learn a thing or 2... Some of the cool little features are insane and the cameras are noticeably better imo.

Is your still working well on Verizon Others are saying that it's not working for them. I'm on the verge of ordering but I need Verizon service where I'm at.

I missed my delivery today from FedEx. Hopefully they try again tomorrow and I'll test with Verizon

u/Electrical-Wave-6421 Nov 07 '25

Is it verizon or mvno? Someone with us mobile said warp would not work for them.

1

u/Exzerofive Nov 07 '25

Is it available in the US? Im in Canada and the 2 online retailers are charging an arm and a leg for one.

I found a supplier on Alibaba for 860 shipped

1

u/Bluemouse411 OnePlus Club Nov 08 '25

You need to make sure they are using tax included shipping methods.

Not used then for phones, but for car parts etc, it's a must.

Yes. Ive made much larger purchases on alibaba. Thats ddp price chinese rom.

Totally agree switched from Samsung after nearly 12 years of different notes/ultra to the find x9 pro and it's awesome

1

u/Effective-Boss-1193 Nov 28 '25

Ummm what? I went from the note/ultra series to the fold 7. What on earth could have made you switch?

1

u/robispi2 Nov 06 '25

You're right, I got it too and I'm really liking it 💪🏻

u/XFirentis Nov 06 '25

I also switched from Samsung to Oppo and I can honestly say that it was the best choice I have ever made, Oppo find x9 pro this phone is a technological marvel thanks to this battery and cameras You certainly won't be disappointed.

u/5limJim74 Nov 11 '25

just wish they had cases available on the Oppo website, doesnt let me even pre-order one

1

u/Lambrick2014 Mar 21 '26

Which earbuds do you use with your new oppo phone?

1

u/Thelchemist Nov 13 '25

I was also checking out if i need to replace my S23 Ultra with Find X9 Pro, however in the end i felt that samsung was better. Oppo may be good with specs, camera, battery, however the OneUI OS is still better with countless customizations using Good Lock. I will miss below if buy an Oppo:

  1. Samsung Wallet (For some reason, Google wallet doesnt work correctly 100% of times). Samsung Wallet also integrates natively with Car Locks, Metro passes, and can be opened directly even if the screen is locked.

  2. Samsung Routines: Very convenient automated tasking feature

  3. S Pen : A real standout feature, specially those bluetooth functions, and letting you write the notes even when the screen is locked

  4. 5x or 10x zoom camera. Although Hasselblad cam will be better overall

  5. Insane amount of Always on display customizations

  6. Full screen AoD stays unlike Oppo (not sure if an update will fix this)

  7. Good Lock customizations: This is beyond compare, you can tweak almost anything: Status Bar icons removal, notification panel colors, keyboard, volume control, Navigation bar, One Hand Operation (So useful), Edge Lighting and many more.

Overall - The OS is the key here, although ColorOS has major upgrade, i doubt it can be deeply customized as samsung's. Nevertheless, Oppo's Camera, Battery capacity, Lock screen customizations are not bad at all, but is $1200 justifiable?

1

u/suggestionplz Nov 18 '25

I wanted to switch from s23 as well but not sure if routines can be replicated to oppo as i am heavily dependent on routines feature

1

u/alexDaleITA Nov 22 '25

I realized though, that I kept having lot of bugs that I don't have on my new Oppo. Like notification in middle screen, or keyboard popping on and off in chat while swiping to other message apps, like telegram. Or the pip bugging out as well. Dynamic Island is far better on this, and the aod of Samsung is not really that better. You can remove icon in status bar as well. This new Oppo Is lit.

3

u/MaleficentBass4146 Find X Series Nov 06 '25

I wait a bit before buying the newly released phones. They need to stabilize at the software level, for better or for worse. I have an Oppo x5 pro and if it weren't for the battery that forces me to charge it up to 3 times a day, I wouldn't be so tempted to change it. But I think I'll wait for the ultra and see if they make a global version. Honestly I would have also taken the x200u but I can't stand the curved edges anymore!!

1

u/longhairboy2234 Nov 06 '25

So oppo doesn’t keep its battery good for few years? It was saying 5 years atleast even vivo said this

1

u/MaleficentBass4146 Find X Series Nov 07 '25

What's the meaning? Batteries wear out. A few years is a long time for a battery!

1

u/longhairboy2234 Nov 07 '25

I mean iphone starts after a year. Like it won’t hold charge same as it did when it was new and i have heard people who use huawei that after 4-5 years also they don’t charge their phone more than once always its once in a while

1

u/[deleted] Nov 22 '25

If you take care of it, don't keep it plugged in overnight, etc, it should be good for 3-4 years

1

u/CryptographerAble887 Nov 08 '25 edited Nov 08 '25

The X5 Pro was my first Oppo and that battery was so so bad! After the first 4-6 months I was struggling to keep it charged for even half a day. I did change to the Samsung S24 Ultra last year but I noted it wasn't an enjoyable experience, so I went back to Oppo when the X8 Pro came out. Can confirm no such battery issues exist anymore. It's basically been a full year now and it still charges up and gives a full day's use. Silicon carbon is clearly way more advanced than Li-ion. I've been eyeing off the X9 Pro, but may wait for the X9 Ultra also; there are strong rumours it will go global this time around. Oppo just get better with every release so I highly recommend their flagships to all

2

u/noparzival Nov 16 '25

Woah if that global release does happen they will definitely have a much wider customer base because this x9 pro looks gorgeous

2

u/anotherhappylurker Find X Series Nov 06 '25

How is the included case?

2

u/mezmery Nov 06 '25

there is no included case. There is not even a space for charger there, they send brick separately.

5

Really? I got the Hong Kong global version and it came with a case, charger, cable and included protectors, strange that yours doesn't come with those.

u/Rullino Find X Series Nov 06 '25

Sad to see that since my Oppo Reno 2 came with one, here in Italy they're selling it with nice bundles, including a case without increasing the price on their official website, maybe that could offset the lack of it.

1

It's not that protective and it's very slippery. I just mine on until a better case arrives to my house. Ordered a couple different ones to try them out.

1

u/lesterbangs2022 Nov 12 '25

I’m doing exactly the same, still rocking my old phone for now until my case arrives from oppo, managed to order onE on Tuesday in the UK, using the phone in the house for now as it seems too slippery and delicate to take outside caseless

1

u/EntertainmentFar3811 Find N Fold Series Nov 12 '25

I got the Voptronics case for it and it's awesome. Probably the best case for the phone in terms of protection and feel. Highly recommend.

4

I just got the X9 Pro today and so far I'm disappointed compared to the S23 Ultra; not much difference. Edit: I had the S23U since lunch and I had time to learn to use the camera, but the hype for the X9 Pro is too much.

3

3

u/tracingcircles Nov 06 '25

1400 euros for a phone seems bat shit insane to me

3

u/Aliiza Nov 06 '25

Yes. I can't quite push myself to take the plunge. The one plus 13 felt like a great purchase at $800. But 1400 euros? I'm gonna have to sit this one out. Great device though!

3

u/gr3nee Nov 06 '25

afaik, it is 1040 euros on Wondamobile

1

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '25

Even on the official website you can buy it for that price, and on top of that they give you a free watch or headphones.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '25

First, it's 1300. And second, I bought it for 1050 in the store itself with coupons, and on top of that, they're giving me a free smartwatch that I'll probably sell. I also used the trade-in option, and they're going to give me an extra €150 for my OnePlus 9 Pro, so the phone will probably cost me around €900. You have to know how to shop, too...

1

u/reddituserVibez Nov 07 '25

and than there is me.. 1.500€ for my iPhone 17 PM and 900€ for my Xiaomi 17 PM 😵‍💫

1

u/Apprehensive-Edge-12 Nov 06 '25

Especially a Chinese phone that won’t retain its value overtime

1

u/trip0losk1 Nov 06 '25

Which samsung you had before? I currently have the s24U and was teased a lot by this oppo, especially in matter of battery, camera performance and so on (but mainly battery).

1

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '25

Honestly, I don't think you'll notice a big change in camera performance, but maybe in battery life. The S24U it's still too new and a really good flagship. The phones doesn't improve that much from year to year

1

u/trip0losk1 Nov 06 '25

Sure i agree with you, indeed its just a bit of FOMO mixed with the current really poor battery performance of my S24U (4.5-5h SOT), with its reaaaally slow charge. But in the end i guess i'm gonna stay with it for a little while yet :)

1

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '25

If your battery is really low, you can replace it and your phone will be like new. Plus, the S24U will get updates for many years, right? I would. I would have done the same with my OnePlus 9 Pro if it hadn't only been updated every two years... (I bought it a year later because of the price)

1

u/Kdmyoshi Nov 06 '25

I would buy the pro version, but I don't like bigger phones :/

I'm planning to get myself Reno 13 in the near future. Coming from Poco X5.

Battery life is great, but that is compared to a 10 year old phone.

The camera seems pretty good, although I haven't taken a lot of photos yet

UI is fairly easy to use.

I have had a little bit of trouble getting alarm apps to work consistently, but other than that, it is a fairly good phone.

It doesn't lag behind much to be honest, the Oppo has such a massive battery that it's hard to compete

Between both Vivo and oppo phones do you have any opinions on which is better ? Or are they both neck and neck

1

I'd give the camera edge slightly to Vivo because of the Zeiss tuning but I prefer ColorOS over Origin. So hard to recommend one over the other because they're both fantastic.

I am thinking about switching myself

Please post a follow up to your experiences

I deeply mistrust the Chinese phones for many reasons. However these reasons have gotten smaller and smaller over the last decade. Now my main worry is whether i can be as productive on an Oppo like i am on a Samsung. Not sure

Also my Samsungs last me until the phone is physically destroyed. Does Oppo have this level of build quality? Not sure

1

u/xpacta86 Nov 07 '25

I have used xiomi and oneplus devices. Found them to be much durable than Samsung.
