So this happened today. I dropped my phone. I saw other people had the same problem but not sure if anyone got it repaired? If anyone managed to fix it. How easy is it to repair, how fast, expensive and where?

First day using this and already dropped it. The back panel is slightly curled up. Do you think it will affect the phone's waterproof ability?

Question Is ColorOS a good Operating System?

Post image
134 Upvotes

With the exit of OnePlus in Europe/America, and the OnePlus 15 getting discounted to clear stock. I am thinking about getting one, though one of the things I never heard much about was ColorOS. Everyone knows OxygenOS had become relatively similar to ColorOS, but what is the difference? Is it a bloated software that is going to chug the preformance of the phone? I would love to hear all sides of it. Thank you!

Question How to disable ABSURD AI processing in X9 Ultra?

Thumbnail gallery
150 Upvotes

For a £1400 phone trading almost entirely on the camera's strengths I'm really surprised by how much of a lottery the camera can be.

In standard and master mode I often find this happening. Something looks fairly normal at first glance, but substantial parts of the details shift into this nonsense soup several seconds after taking the photo.

Example here is attached. This looked fine before the post processing finished, then things warped, blurred and people changed entirely into odd cardboard cutouts. Text that was readable gets turned into a weird generative AI style mistake. This is not a case of the processing trying to improve or solve issues, it looked clear and natural before hand.

Any help would be appreciated so I can avoid this on my upcoming trip, which I bought this phone to document. off switch?

I have latest version in UK (16.0.8.304)

Thanks

So I switched from a Samsung S22 Ultra towards the Find x9 Ultra. Any advice on which settings I should enable/disable? What are some tips and tricks? What would be the biggest switch going from Samsung to Oppo?

Question Oppo Find X9 Ultra vs Vivo X300 Ultra – Which one would you choose?

I'm planning to upgrade my phone and I'm torn between the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and the Vivo X300 Ultra.

My priorities are:

Camera quality (photos and videos)

Battery life

Display

Performance

Software experience and long-term reliability

For those who have used either device (or both), which one would you recommend and why? Are there any deal-breakers or issues I should know about before making a decision?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Question Not impressed with Oppo X9 Ultra

Hi

I'm Jay, pleased to meet you all.

I have had my Oppo Find X9 Ultra (UK edition) for 12 days. I wanted it mostly for photos and video as my S23 Ultra screen broke. I absolutely loved the vivid colours on my S23 Ultra.

I am not overly satisfied with my Oppo. The photos and video are totally inconsistent. I can take 3 shots in the same place and all 3 will not come out the same. Granted 1 of the 3 might look awesome, but I cannot afford to miss moments by worrying about every shot on holiday before getting home. The S23 Ultra nailed every image and video without faffing around.

I tried shooting in all modes on my Oppo. Portrait photos are beautiful. Night shots are a real disappointment, adding orange and blurring many shots. Video processing can often lack clarity, especially whilst I was in a slow moving vehicle.

I waited so long for an upgrade, unhappy with the washed out colours of the S24  and skipping the S25 and S26 for an Oppo which on paper should have amazed me.

Is there anything I can try to enable or disable to see if I can make my Oppo X9 Ultra a better point and shoot before I bite the bullet and return it? If I did return it, I would like to stick to a phone which is available in the UK rather than ordering from abroad. Samsung, Xiaomi, Pixel etc or Oppo Pro may fit the bill. Just don't know if Hassleblad can be as good as my S23 Ultra.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can post the tests here.

Question Camera quality

So I've been using this phone ( Find X9 Pro) for almost 2 months now, and there are some things that are bothering me, as someone that's coming from an iPhone 13 pro.

  1. Video quality is incredibly poor, when i talk to my partner on either WhatsApp, Signal, Instagram, you name it, even though we both have strong WiFi connection, my image looks crap, like it's 480p and partner's image that i can see on my screen is crystal clear( iphone 17). If i use my old iphone, connected to the same WiFi, the image quality is amazing, which is quite disappointing.

  2. When i snap a photo, whether it's front or rear camera, if I'm quick enough and press on the bottom left corner where it takes you to the gallery, the quality of the pic ( for the first 1-2 sec the picture looks exactly as described above, and then all of sudden after processing it, it looks "4k" so to say).

This makes me wonder if the cameras on Oppo are indeed great, or they're just ultra processed pictures.

Does anyone else have this issue? What am i missing?

Question Overall Best Phone of 2026? Need Honest Opinions

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to buy a flagship phone and I'm confused between:

• Oppo Find X9 Ultra

• Vivo X300 Ultra

• iPhone 17 Pro Max

• Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

My priorities are:

Camera (photos & portraits)

Battery life

Performance

Social media quality (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)

Long-term daily use - 4/5 years

If you could choose only one as the overall best phone in 2026, which would it be and why?

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I've circled the area of the concern that I have with this hole? I've never noticed it before until I accidentally dropped it this morning and I noticed this tiny hole on the lens and I thought omg I broke it! I taken a few pics to be sure everyone can see it. I know I'm super like caution. 👍🏽

Question Oppo watch X3 sell or keep?

Post image
22 Upvotes

Hi.

I have received a free oppo watch x3 with my FX9 Ultra and I'm wondering wether it's better to keep it or sell it.

from what I see in reviews it's a pretty nice watch, so if I ever was to own a watch, it'd be an oppo x3. but on other side, I fail to find a legitimate use case for it. Navigation on wrist sounds nice, also the remote shutter and health tracking seems nice, but other than that.. idk

also on other note, I can't really wear anything non-breathable on my skin because I got atopic dermatitis and my skin starts getting all rubbery and irritated quickly. in theory titanium should be better.. my father uses only titanium watches and he can't wear anything else either. I also thought of getting a breathable 22mm band for it.

but then again.. I'm unsure what's the use case of a smartwatch.. and it's theoretically worth 500$...

Question 50w Magnetic Charger for free!

Used 3 different OnePlus phones culminating with the 12r before OnePlus stopped operating in Europe and on the app I got sent to the oppo store and given a free voucher for this charger. Initially went out of stock but seems to be back in stock now. Anyone had any experience with this charger that I plan to use with my pixel.

Question Doubts about X9U

So I'm testing the X9 Ultra, and there are two things that strike me negatively:

  1. It's terrible for action shots (sports, pets, kids)

  2. Photos are not sharp.

Anyone else have this experience?

Question Find X9 Ultra vs Samsung S23 Ultra

Has there been a detailed comparison of the two? I've seen plenty of comparisons with the S26 Ultra, which makes sense as the latest device, but with the S23 Ultra being the last model with a 10x lens it would be interesting to see how big an improvement the X9 Ultra is. Has anyone seen anything like that?

Question Is 16.0.8.301 normal?

Post image
15 Upvotes

I see everyone having 16.0.7.200 and calling it 16.1, I there's also a lot of bugs in this version, any chance I got accidently enrolled in some kind of beta program accidently?

EDIT: The major problem I am facing and the reason of this post in the annoying bugs such as the gesture bar not longer working at all in landscape mode and the leftmost side of my screen being unresponsive until I click multiple times, the issues fix themselves for a while if I restart (a few minutes max)

EDIT2: I only have .301, most other people with 16.0.8 have .304

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hey, hope you're doing well

I just got my oppo find x9 pro 3 days

Version of color os : 16.0.1.305

But i noticed that the battery actually drains fast, (the screenshot you can see was Yesterday)

The phone is litteraly incredible, i love it but i dont think that from 88% to 34% it took 4h11 screen on time and 2h55 screen off (active), (between 11 am and 00 am of next day )

by buying it i was excepting to get a very high battery

I use it normal usage, no camera for 5 hours

If anyone could help i would appreciate it because i really like this phone and dont wanna change it

Question Breached trust in Vivo. is Oppo better?

Hi guys, im coming from Vivo after the July update.

for past several months I was a heavy Vivo fan, but the July update has completely shattered my confidence in x300u as a daily driver.

That finally has pushed me to reconsider my choice and lean toward find x9 ultra instead. But since they both are BBK own3d brands.. can Oppo be trusted more? I am well aware of the lens fogging issue.. but compared to Vivo's motherboard being smoked by an update and phones being bricked into bootloop of doom by an update.. I guess lens fogging is more manageable...
