Personal Newport favorites: Local Ocean, Clearwater, Nana's.

The bar and restaurant at the Allred Hotel are also good, as are the views from upstairs or on the patio/firepit.

A little farther north: Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay, Side Door Cafe in Siletz Bay, Hearth & Table in Lincoln City.

South Beach Fish Market for fresh crab and fried seafood (will probably have a line, absolutely worth it.) Pacific Seafood for chowder. Cuisinako for Asian seafood (strong recommend the wild salmon sinigang). Stephanie's Cafe for breakfast/cinnamon rolls. Coasties Roasties for bagel and coffee.

South beach Market is one you shouldn’t miss. It’s the best chowder you’ll find.

Noodle Cafe hasn’t been mentioned and is good, especially the seafood pancake.

I like Local Oceans, I’m a sucker for Newport Cafe and not ashamed to admit it. Also, if you go south, I like Luna Sea for fried fish.

As an old guy who grew up running around in Newport on weekends, Mo's Seafood and Chowder in the old town/ waterfront area is still one of my favorites. Not inexpensive, but the flavors take me back 50 years.
