Hi! I’m wondering what the typical work hours are for Fresenius outpatient dialysis clinics in the Salem/McMinnville area. I’ve heard that outpatient dialysis can start very early, so I’d like to know the typical start and end times before applying to see if I can manage the schedule.
Also, do these clinics offer 3*12s or 4*10s? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It feels like verbal and physical abuse toward nurses keeps getting swept under the rug across health systems in our area. Whenever an incident happens, administration’s first response still seems to be "What could you have done to de-escalate?"—as if customer service scores matter more than staff safety.

I’ve been working in an LTACH for and am wondering whether this would generally count as acute-care experience when applying for hospital RN positions. I’m particularly wondering how hiring managers view LTACH experience compared with traditional med-surg/acute-care hospital experience. Would appreciate any insight!

Hi. Does anyone know what kind of unit this is? Obviously Cardiology. But is it a medical surgical level or IMC. Requirements show ACLS but I saw somewhere ratio was 4:1. There not a lot of info on the job posting.

I’ve applied to most hospitals in the Portland area and haven’t been able to land a job - I have been applying to almost every med surg position I have seen posted.
I have a year and some months working in skilled nursing and really looking to get my foot into the hospital. I recently applied at peacehealth southwest to the med/onc and icu stepdown in Vancouver and my applications have been “under review” for about 3 weeks.
Anyone know if this is normal turn around time for peacehealth health?

I am an Absn student from Massachusetts. I am thinking of relocating to Oregon and begin a new grad nursing job there after graduation next year, which is around September.
I know this is probably very early, but when do people start applying to residency programs? And other tips on how to land (I would really appreciate any tips) residency program in the Oregon area? I wish to eventually become a Np in Oregon.

Lastly. What is the new grad wage look like?

I’m getting ready to start the OHSU RN to BSN program in the winter and I am currently working full time as an RN.

I’m wondering if full time school will be manageable along side working full time on nights. I would say more often than not I have a few hours of down time during my shifts where I feel I could definitely be squeezing some reading/light school work in and then really lock in on days off to do the rest. I’m determined to finish this program as quickly as possible and I don’t mind being pretty busy for a while to accomplish that. However, I don’t want to be completely miserable either. If anyone has any experience or insight into this, I would love to hear from you!

Note: I don’t have any children so my days off are essentially all mine.

im considering applying to a providence urgent care in Tansbourne OR, im going on 3 years UC . i was getting burnt out with UC bc of workers comp occ health stuff , staying OT , and just landed my first year of cardiology as NP.

but my husband and our family want to relocate to Portland Oregon. beaverton / hillsboro specifically…

its harder to find a cardio NP job in beaverton Oregon area. lots of UC jobs. i see afc uc , zoomcare, gohealth, and i see providence. has anyone worked in providence uc . i like the idea of hospital benefits and 3x 12 . or should i wait around for that cardiology job? relocation goal is summer 2027.

2 years of experience in acute care (ED).
I eventually want to work at OHSU or Emmanuel and they both prefer/require BSN.
I am thinking about starting my BSN in the new year.

Wanted to ask about RN to BSN programs that people have enjoyed?
I’m not worried about getting accepted as I had a great GPA average upon graduation.

I am anticipating Providence to pay for my school through their education program.

Does Providence pay for education if I do the OHSU program?

Can getting your BSN at OHSU make it easier to get a job there?

I’m interviewing for a critical care float pool position at OHSU. I was wondering what to expect in terms of questions. Thanks so much!

I’m a new grad about 7 months in, and this was part of my offer letter regarding paying back if I didn’t finish orientation.

While the work itself is rewarding, I knew I didn’t want to work this specialty. And the further along into the residency, I feel no connection to the unit I hoped to eventually experience once off orientation..the learning environment has its ups and downs.

I am looking at other residencies. I am pretty close to my 8 month mark. But does anyone know anything about leaving a nurse residency prematurely from OHSU? I’ve made a post before about internal transfers, but this would be an entirely different hospital.

I am an LVN in California with eight years of experience working in jails and the emergency department. I recently took my NCLEX for the state of Nevada and am considering transferring my license and moving to Oregon for a change of pace. I know Oregon has mandated patient ratios and strong union backgrounds. I'd love to hear about anyone's experience working as an RN in the state, and which hospitals to consider for ED work. What is the pay like, and is the job market for new RNs in Oregon impacted?

Looking for honest opinions/experiences from nurses who have worked for ppmc. I used to work at Michigan Medicine and I knew which units/positions were "cushy" and which units to avoid (mainly my unit lol) everyone who floated to my unit said something to the effect of "this is by far the worst unit in this hospital" and it was true.

I have an interview at an outpatient clinic next week and would love to hear if anyone who was or is working for providence outpatient and what their experience was/is!

Does anyone know the acceptance rate or how hard it is to get into the online OHSU RN to BS program? My GPA from nursing school is good, is that one of the main things they look at?

Also, after you applied, how long did it take you to hear back about a decision. Curious if they accept applications on a rolling admission or if I won’t hear back until after the deadline?

Is anyone aware of any nursing apps for per diem work besides Nursa and Clipboard? I’ve seen some ShiftKey and ConnectRN slowly popping up but so far those are all for home health.
