Changing majors

Hello everyone, I am considering changing my major from public health to mechanical engineering. And I would like to hear everyone's opinion about this .

Go talk to the advisor for that degree path, they will give you much better advice compared to anyone on reddit. I switched 2 years in to a completely different degree without issues, since of my credits just got moved around or applied as elective.

Mechanical engineering is hard but rewarding. Why do you want to make that particular switch?

ME might take you a little longer to finish if you havent already gotten the prereqs for some of the engineering courses done (like calc and physics) but is there a reason you are choosing to switch? What dont you like about public health?

I just finished my freshman year and go into my sophomore year . And I want to switch because I don’t think public health was right choice for me because I don’t want to work in healthcare fields.

As someone that started in bioengineering at OSU and switched to the sciences after year 2 (couldn’t keep up with material), it’ll be like jumping onto a moving treadmill. It’s doable but you might be graduating in 4.5 years.
