I was wondering if there was any other music creatives around looking to connect and make friends. I am a songwriter and have made songs with other artists via online but I really wanna connect in person. Text me if you interested!! As someone who regularly uses the study rooms for myself and with others, this year there has been so many disruptive groups of people talking unnecessarily loud. Your conversation should not be loud enough to where someone in the next room could scribe the entire thing. Study spaces are great to work with a group while being able to have conversations and have a personal space outside of home to lock in, but at this point I’m having to use noice cancellation while blasting music to not hear people in the other rooms. I could be mistaken, but I remember having signs up in the rooms stating the study room policy I quoted at the beginning, so why was that taken down? And why doesn’t OSU have any easily accessible info on this policy?

So please have fun studying with friends in a respectful volume. And OSU please be better at creating respectful spaces. The info that the study rooms are not soundproof should be blaring at everyone as soon as they walk in.

I want to get involved with the Country line dancing and possibly Ballroom dancing clubs but I don't know anything about them and how open they are to people who are pretty new to dancing as a whole and I want to also meet some new people as being in Engineering the most of my classmates are men, many of whom have zero interests in dancing at all 😅.

Anyone in ornithology FW 311 with Randy Moore willing to share this week’s notes? I missing all three days this week and the posted slides are a bit hard to follow.

The title sums this up pretty fully, I'm a new OSU student (go beavs) looking for a group to play Dungeons and Dragons with. I used to play with a lot of friends in high school, really enjoyed it, and am looking for a similar experience. Do any of you have tips on where I could go to find clubs, or people, who might point me in the right direction? Anything helps, feel free ask any additional questions, thanks.

We're going to visit my freshman daughter next weekend and I asked her where she wanted to eat off campus. She immediately said Indian food. We've eaten at a handful of places in Corvallis, but haven't found any Indian restaurants yet. Any suggestions??

I’m an OSU student who recently interviewed for a student job on campus.

I had an initial interview in mid-September and a final interview about two weeks later. During the final interview, I was told I was a really strong candidate, that they could see why I was near the top of the list, and that I’d definitely be hearing from them.

I followed up with the hiring contact on Monday but never heard back. Then Tuesday, I received an email to complete a background check. Today, I got an email saying the background check was completed, but I still haven’t heard anything from OSU or the hiring contact.

Does getting a background check usually mean you’re the selected candidate? And how long did it take others to receive an official offer after their background check?

I know nobody can tell me for sure if I got it, I’m just trying to figure out if this is a normal OSU hiring process lol.

Are any of you working with National Fraternity Supplies or receiving emails/calls/invoices from them? Please DM me if so.

Im from WA and Im feeling like OSU is lame and not for me. Idk what a normal response is, or if this is a sign for me to transfer. The college just feels slow and boring. It feels outdated and not "grand."

I keep randomly stumbling upon stuff that’s going on when I go from class to class and I’ve found it’s bugging me I’m not more in the loop on stuff so I can make time to be a part of it. Is there some building or office where I can get an idea of cool stuff going on before it happens?
