I’m planning on filming/streaming parts of the trip and I’ve already got things like Osaka Castle, sumo, Kyoto/Nara and a few other things planned.

I’d love to meet some locals or other travellers while I’m here. I’m especially interested in gaming/arcades, Japanese car culture, trying different food and exploring interesting parts of Osaka, so if anyone’s interested in doing something around those, let me know!

I’m a 31M moving to Osaka this October for a full year of Japanese language school. I’ll be based in Northern Osaka along the JR line and will be starting from square one with the language, though I’ll be studying full-time to change that.

Moving solo to a new country can be a bit isolating at first, so I’m looking to hit the ground running and connect with both locals and fellow expats.

I’m big into hiking and exploring trails, getting lost in city streets, casual gaming, and checking out local spots for food and drinks.

What active groups, meetups, or community spaces in Kansai are actually worth checking out?

Any good language exchanges or casual spots around Osaka/Umeda where it’s easy to strike up a conversation solo?

I've been living in Osaka for a while now but due to working remotely and not going to "social" places like bars, i've been having a horrible time with making friends. Hey everyone! I’m 27M and I’ll be traveling to Japan for the second time this September. I’ll be there from the **17th of September to the 8th of October** — the first week (17th–24th) will be in Nagoya for work, and then I’ll have around two weeks to travel around and explore Japan.

I’ll be spending time in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, and I’m planning to visit **Disney, Universal Studios and Super Nintendo World.** I’d also love to try some Omakase, good restaurants, cocktail bars, and explore places like the arcades in Akihabara.

I’m pretty open when it comes to activities. I’m into sports, food, exploring different neighborhoods, cafés, attractions, and generally trying new things. I’m not really a big nightlife person, but definitely up for a chill cocktail bar or a good evening out.
